They do contribute toward eligibility for the 2016 Program.
Acquiring any one of these Hero 'Mechs prior to the deadline would qualify you for the base Clan Reward.
Acquiring any six would qualify you for the Top-Tier Clan Reward.

Both the Clans & IS each have 6+ eligible hero mechs - why you no count them?!?! Posted Image

I blame SeeSam. He's always been a terrible scout...

Possibly because I don't pilot them and only ever see the 4N... ?

Edit: Plus tbh they seem to die so easily to my lights and mediums there has to be some reason people pilot these surely?

Well, the 4N has the same arm-mounted hardpoints as the one in the picture.
Again. Not sure why you're pointing that out.

It's a fair question for folks that don't have time in the cockpit of a Stalker. I love my Stalkers (aside from a couple Cyclops they're the only Assaults I pilot). I also am heavy in lights and agree Stalkers are also easy prey for Lights.

That said, there are tricks to running the Stalker generally. Lots of folks load them up as LRM boats and sit back with them. Generally that is a recipe for Doom given the low mobility and lack of arm movement (okay, the -3F gets better twist quirks but still not great). Stalkers really want and need to be in with the group, either up getting their own locks if you must put LRMs on them, or brawling the f%$^ out of people. These beasts can both dish out buckets of damage with a mix of SRM and Energy but also are absolute Kings of rolling and spreading damage.... as long as you are not caught out in the open alone with a hungry light behind you. Can't count how many times even I've been in a Stalker and finally go down saying "holy mother, can't believe how much damage I withstood...."

TLDR; Stalkers are beastly damage givers and tankers, but are highly dependent on team support and positioning.

Lights? I find they melt well under SRM24 and 6ML, or SRM30.

1250m range (with mod) on lrm5 x5 is pretty hilarious. It's like a missile gatling gun.

On another note, any word on quirk information? We are a week out...

The relevant part is where steam takes part of the money. The part you are rolling your eyes about is just supporting that point with proof. The post wasn't about it being available here at PGI. Posted Image

boo-urns... given that the rewards page states that quirk information will be released when we get closer to the rewards release (as opposed to on the same day as)
