boo-urns... given that the rewards page states that quirk information will be released when we get closer to the rewards release (as opposed to on the same day as)

Release day is patch day, and patch notes always get revealed a couple days before the actual patch.

1250m range (with mod) on lrm5 x5 is pretty hilarious. It's like a missile gatling gun.

Why would anyone need a range quirk for LRMs? If you're hurling them from >800 mtrs you'll miss most of them..
(Real Mechwarriors lurm from <400 mtrs :P )

Now, a COOLDOWN quirk's the thing that does make lrm5s hilarious :D

You mean like the famous Quickdraw 1000% cooldown quirk?

Just because you miss with most of them doesn't mean the rest of us do also.

I think his point is that you are less likely to hit at 1200m than 800m and even less than at 400m...

This is where I see an image of Dee Eights adder from last night dropping a mic saying, "Dee Eight out!"

Good matches last night Dee Eight. I caught a snapshot of you in your adder, and was gonna post the only Dee Eight kills Dee Eight with it but didn't have time this morning.

On another note, any word on quirk information? We are a week out...

Probably the day before, so there is less rage about the Free gifts having bad quirks

How my Adder Prime with PPCs relates to this I'm not particularly sure. Someone else tried using a video where the b33f runs around in a locust 1E and I was the last to fall in a cheetah to prove another point again unrelated to anything being discussed other than the b33f is a good player. Also at the stage I killed myself in the adder from overheat, I was fighting six enemy mechs SOLO because the rest of the pansies on my team had all died early, in a conquest game, because they were more concerned with chasing the KMDDs than actually playing the game mission, even to the point of not actually hitting the R key because they didn't want to share the info that they were engaged with targets someone else might then do more damage to.

If you wanted to post screen caps relevant to a discussion on lrms, you should use one where I'm banging off 4 kills or 10 kill assists in one of my LRM mechs like my Archangel. Or 888 damage games in my streak crow again with many kills and assists.

I like the cucking Censoring out of the Summoner energy hardpoint, the sole hardpoint us Summoner 'Ree-ers' have been wanting for yonks. Gosh diddly dun darn it.

Most of my LRM kills and assists come at 1000+ meters. If I build an LRM mech, whether its with 5s or 10s or 15s, I'm running both the cooldown and range modules for whatever launcher size the mech is build around. I might not hit a 160+ locust or commando very well at that distance, but heavies and assaults... not a problem.

Then I'm impressed you get people to hold locks for you that long and while at the same time they are unable to kill mechs byt the time your LRMS get to the intended targets... I'm guessing that's not solo drop QP...

I only drop solo QP. I also have the good sense to move around, and run BAP/AP, Adv sensor range and Adv target decay. I don't merely lurch along at the back like many LRM boaters do, and I also do not just run LRMs... many a light and medium mech has learned the hard way that I had close range weapons also. That stalker 5M is going to get 5 LRM5s, but its also going to get large and medium lasers also. I just do not understand folks, who having the hardpoints to run other than all LRM launchers...don't. Especially on clan mechs. I played with someone one match who LRM boated a Spirit bear... with NO ballistic or energy weapons (other than a TAG laser). He complained after he died that there must be something wrong with the game because he couldn't kill a panther at like 30 meters with his LRM 70 barrage. Apparently when he read clan launchers have no minimum range, he didn't read up further about how they do less and less damage the closer to 0 meters they are.At 30 meters, they do 1/6th damage. So 70 becomes about 11. I was spectating from his cockpit as he circle danced what looked like a 10P since it had an UAC/5 and a pair of SRM4s. He'd even unlocked his arms, kept the reticle on the target to hold the lock and everything. I guess the panther had only the stock 175XL engine it came with since they were pretty matched agility and speed.

All I'm saying is that if you are firing your lurms at 1000+ meters by design there is a lot that can happen before they reach their destination so I would find it surprising if they are hitting more that say 40% of the time since at 1000+ you can get your own targets typically.

If you have Backup weapons, great!

So I had purchased both the R1 & R2 when they were advertised and it says I still do not qualify for the Loyalty Stalker. And i purchased the full Marauder & Bushwacker Kit. Still nope. It says I don't qualify. Seriously. Why?
Think I might start slowing down on my purchases and start investing elsewhere if this is my appreciation for IS mechs.

If you purchased the Resistance packs when they *first* dropped, that would have qualified for 2015's goodies, not this year... as for the others... that screen only updates once a day so if you *just* bought them, check tomorrow.

Well that is a kick in the nether-region considering I even purchase an extra Marauder pack as a give away for a comp. Oh well. Can't get everything in life I guess. Now where's my Kleenix, just hope that Stalker would come for sale eventually.

It will, probably next august, just like last year's loyalty mechs did 2 months ago...

For better or worse you really have to read the fine print on this one, they all say "Must be purchased *AFTER* October 6th(?) 2015 and before October 18th 2016...

The bushwacker qualifies for something this year, since its before the deadline obviously. What you consider a "full pack" may not be what qualifies for the top-tier. They clearly say in the first posting, that purchases have to have been made within a specific date range, and what levels qualify for what rewards. Top tier IS reward requires either a combination of two collector packs from the Bushwacker, Urbie, Marauder, Rifleman, Warhammer, Archer, Cyclops or Phoenix Hawks.... or either the R1 Wrath or R2 Mauler packs.

I've given in and bought the hero Kitfox (KFX-PR) in order to get the Loyality HBR-F.
Two special mechs with unique hardpoints and c-bill boost for $10.
KFX-PR is surely going to be the best Kitfox variant and HBR-F will be the best Hellbringer (although not by much).
Both will be great at earning C-Bizzels in both quick and faction play.

I'm still on the fence whether to spend $20 for a IS Pack just to get the CTF-3L. I bet the quirks are going to be weaksauce just like on the CTF-0XP. On the other hand, I love using MASC - even enjoyed it on the WVR-7D(L).

IMHO the only IS pack worth getting for real cash is the Warhammer. Warhammers are cheap as dirt but least you get a month of premium time and 3 mechbays. And the mech is probably the best IS heavy chassis ATM.
