Very cool. Very nice way to get some folks (with video making talent anyway) involved. You should give all the finalists some mechcon swag or in game content. In any case the outreach effort that this sort of thing represents is priceless to the community. Do more of this sort of thing.

I really really want to see a trailer for all these packs and all the heroes...

One of the best ways to get me seeing if I want something or not is to see it move, shoot, and bleed.
I do not know well but when a mech feels "good" for me, I do good in it... very good. Sometimes there's a mech that looked good on paper for me but in the end I do not like it... meanwhile any mech I've saw a trailer on I am never disapointed... Maybe it's because the trailer got me in the mood instead?... I do not know. I just want to see more trailers and teasers.

So the video can be about anything? Trailer? or music video? or just a funny thing?

Also under the Youtube rules you can use copyright music as long as you dont monetize the video. So Tina we can use any music as long as it breaks no rules right?

I wont win as my PC is kinda old school from the 1980's with low to med graphics but would be fun to get a chance to make something for something I love...

I might need some help from players to get the shots when I make a video.. Let me know if you can would help out alot...

I understand the video has to use Machinima (which means that the models and animation must originate from the game engine of course). Can we mix it up with some live action as well?

They said in the first point that Machinima must be used, so I would assume mixing it with other assets (other video, pics, sound, music) is fair game as well. I think what's most important are writing a great story, composing great shots, and doing it for the love of the game. I'd say go for it and let them decide if it's worthy or not, at the very least you made something you are proud of and can show the community later.
