God damnit, Piranha! Are you guys TRYING to sabotage your own Energy Draw tests? Normally I try to give you guys the benefit of the doubt, but this is the sort of blind-idiot f***-up that makes me wonder how much you honestly, legitimately care about your PTS system.
Lahdamighty. And to think I was looking forward to working on E.D. feedback tonight. Why the s****ing f***hell bother at this point. Way to flippin' go, you lunkheads.

The sheer number of you idiots freaking about an event and the PTS announcement in the same day is pretty telling. Do you morons honestly think the ED PTS will only be up for three and a half days? Take your anxiety meds and calm down.
This event looks like a lot of fun and if you take the time to read, the rewards are much easier for lights/mediums than their last respective contests. I'm looking forward to the much higher potential mc reward this event too!

Says someone with no intent of hitting the PTS to help test Energy Draw, I imagine.
We're all "freaking out" specifically because Piranha put up a very lucrative event on the same timeframe as their PTS test, guaranteeing a dismal turn-out for the PTS. First there'll be event, then event burn-out, and by the time people are done with all of that most of them will likely have forgotten that the PTS is a thing, or figure that all the "important" testing has been done already and they can just carry on with grind-as-usual.
It's extremely poor planning, especially for a company that frequently laments how hard it is for them to get any sort of reliable numbers on the PTS.

...Maybe not the leaderboard part, but the regular rewards...

The PTS doesn't have an "end date". Its not merely this weekend. It will continue until they have all the feedback they need.
Yeah, but PTS participation tends to peter off very, very quickly after the first couple days.

Russ seems to think it has an end date:

As far the prizes themselves... all four personal challenges combined... 300MC, 2.4 million cbills, 4000 GXP, 4 days of active premium time, 8 caches and 8 keys, and 20x C-bill consumable pack (which I myself wish used the artillery consumable NOT the airstrike consumable, and the 9 shot not the 6 shot... but I'll use them just the same either way).
I have some kodiaks not getting enough usage (been playing the KDK-1(S) tonight with a new loadout), a lot of mechs to skill up in the different weight classes still, and I just read a mech name on sarna that I wanna try and use but I need to buy a dire wolf to do it I think.
BESIDES WHICH...the event doesn't begin for another 22 hours and the PTS is active now. Those who wanna test will be testing and those who do not, won't.

I'm not going to go "freak out" on you but I would suggest either ensuring the PTS is kept running for at least two weeks or extending the event to accomodate those of us willing to give what little free time we have to testing your new system. One or the other will allow us to put a little time into both and not feel done over by the timing of the PTS and event release.
I know a few of my unit are spending time on the PTS and I hope to do so myself tomorrow but if it's a choice of event or PTS, the event wins I'm afraid. Free stuff is free afterall

I wish. At my *other* job right now so I can't play on PTS until tomorrow morning (after updating my PTS) and I'll only have 2-3 hours before event hits... So at least in my case, the overlap is real.

Chill, some people don't give a hoot about new mechs and won't register that there is a patch until the patch notes are put up...
...last time I checked they haven't been posted yet.

Could make sense... no idea why the patch cannot be deployed then event just keep running after that.
If that is really a problem then I think they should simply do that event the next day after the patch.
For this time I don't think this event is a problem for me, I should be able to complete it all but who knows the next time... and what about others who are more busy with less free time to play?
Anyway, it was just logical to have it last longer than previous...
