How can I tell, at a glance, which modules are going to affect which weapons?
For instance, I have 3 C-LRG PULSE LASERs equipped. I'd love to increase their range, and I'm confident that there is a module for that...but I'm not certain which one is correct (and would be violently ill/angry if I inadvertently selected the wrong one). Is there an easy way to tell which module will give me the desired effect?
As a noob, and at a glance, I figure it could be one of the following:
Large Laser Range x (LRG means Large, so...)
LP-Laser Range x (LP...is that Large Pulse?)
CL. LP-Laser Range x (CL = C = "Clan"?, LP = LRG PULSE = "Large Pulse"?)
CL. ERL-LASER ?
ERL-LASER ?
I mean, this is way too confusing. My money is on "CL. LP-Laser Range", But whose idea was it to make "CL. LP-Laser Range" be an upgrade for "C-LRG PULSE LASER" (assuming I'm correct)? Why do we have to flit between acronyms?
Is there a way to tell, while looking at some weapon, which modules will affect it (or vice-versa)?

Found the answer to my own question.
If you go here: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/equipment
Then scroll down to modules, and highlight the name of the module, the mouseover tooltip tells you which weapon is affected.
P.S. I guess I guessed right. Guess I'll find out.

You guessed right. Modules are specific to weapons, not weapon types, whereas some quirks are to types of weapons. For instance, if a mech has a -5% energy quirk, all weapons that can be put in an energy slot will generate 5% less heat.
