Did anyone get a mechbay from supply cache?
I open caches only with mechbay and/or good load of mc. Opened ~30 caches, no anything worth.

The chance to win each item is not 1/8, you have a much higher chance of getting a medium laser than winning a mech if they are both in a cache.

Ya I think we've come to the conclusion the odds of getting anything decent is very very low. Like 1 in 100 low.

Essentially, if you got a free key and the lowest value item in the supply cache is worth significantly more than 50,000 c-bills, go ahead and open it. Otherwise, just sell the thing, because you've got crazy high chances of getting the lowest value item(s) in the cache compared to even a medium value item. Just assume you'll get the worst item it offers, you probably will.

Well then it looks like PGI are playing unfair. That barrel should have 100 sides not 8.

Don't buy keys w/ purchased MC. Only use rewarded MC for them or rewarded keys.

You are better off just buying a mechbay than to expect one out of the cache.

~90 cache opened, I've received maybe 2 mechbays. If you see a cache with 100k or 250k Cbills AND a mechbay, you'll get the Cbills most of the time.

The general rule is if the mechbay is the worst price in the cache, you have a better chance at it. I've seen a cache w/ several modules, an XL engine, a mech, MC, and I want to say a mechbay and an LPL or something, and I got the mechbay. It still felt like a loss.

Pretty much what everyone else said. Opened one with 1,000 mc the pointer lands on it, then skipped to the PPC next to it. Opened another one landed on a mechbay and the darn thing skipped back one item to a ppc. So yea the supply cache are pretty much rigged.

It is possible to get mech bays. Out of the four supply caches that I opened so far for this event, I pulled one. On a previous event I got a Summoner (with a mech bay). And these are just from the free keys, probably have opened 16 or so total. It could be that I got lucky; most of the other items were just weapons.

I've opened about 40 caches now (free keys all of them). I've gotten absolutely nothing of considerable value.

Pretty much the most useless feature in MWO so far. Good luck fooling anyone into actually buying keys. OMG that would be stupid.

Yeah i also agree with the people that say this is a scam.

Since when you make it appear you have a certain chance, say 1/8 but the actual chances are different and subject to mechanics which are UNDISCLOSED. you are defrauding people. Luckily this is only a game. But whats going on is a fraud. A scam. And it is CLEARLY designed to boost the income of PGI with real money. since keys cost MC... which is purchased with real money.

If someone could get the information on how the weighing works, we probably can start a class action lawsuit.

True enough about the Fraud. Ever since the start of this game, they have mislead the community. If the company was in the US they would have already been taken down. But they are just following the bandwagon. Any person can see, if governments and other companies will lie to us everyday, why not the gaming industry. Games were entertainment and great fun before greed took over. Now it is how much will the kids of today pay to play inferior games.

Seriously? Stop using words like "fraud" and "scam" if you clearly don't understand what they mean.

You can sell a cache for 50K C-bills. Or, you can spend a small amount of MC to get a prize that is always, always worth more than 50K C-bills. You are spending premium currency to get in game currency, just like almost every other free-to-play game in existence.

It would be a lot better idea to buy mechbays with mc when they go on sale.

Until they disclose the odds of winning fraud and scam are accurate in my view.

I had it landing on a Vindicator once, but right before it said I won it it flipped to the next item which was a crap weapon (I think it was a clan srm4). This is the reason why I never buy the keys with MC but only use the free keys.

the mech warrior supply cache system is a really bad money making grab pgi has decided too do.i dont know who is at the top making these thumbs up decisions in the board room, but they should maybe find a better job that is suited for them.People are going too see after getting free keys how the one or two good prize option is stacked and mech arms and lasers is what the gambler usually gets.ya it feels fraudulent most defiantly, not knowing the odds of the gamble.im sure little kids and mentally challenged people who might play the game could be tricked?but the rest of us need you-{pgi board room meeting in charge person}- to turn down the suck

I never thought the odds were 1/8 - and thus never bought keys with MC - but the "wheel of fortune" certainly makes it look that way, so that's questionable business from PGI at best.
Not sure if you can call it "fraud", they're not gaining trust with flimsy stuff like that though.

Doesn't matter what the odds are for the top prize, your prize will always be worth more than 50K C-bills. Therefor, it is not a scam.
