TTK is up this is great. Games feels more like the early days 2011 ish.

Enjoying the recharge rate of the energy bar, actually doesn't feel too far off.

made the dakka clan assault builds a little less potent which was needed.

My king crab can finally fire two ac20's without immediately overheating.

Things to improve:
As mentioned by others PPC and Gauss are now far to powerful. Last night everything was ppc + gauss, or gauss + X combo. And for good reason. if 30 dmg is your cap, the goal is to apply this damage as efficiently and over as long a range as possible. ppc and gauss do exactly this.

Biggest gripe is ranged weapons. If i have to be under 200 meters to deal someone damage with my small laser boat, then why must I also wait a second between firing my lasers. This is the only place where hard set ghost heat worked better. 6 small lasers at a time was a nice balance between dealing damage while not being OP. Same argument for srms, ac20 etc. This is especially painful for mediums and lights which rely on hit and run tactics where all their damage needs to be dealt at once.

LRMs are pretty lopsided, 5s are even better than 20's or 15s now.

reducing heat/damage for lbx and srms is a good step, but needs to be reduced farther. Still no reason to bring lbx 10s over another ac other than they are fun as hell.

Initial impressions:

Really like the lower default heat numbers. 2PPC 4ML Quickdraw 5K build that is I think 1.15 heat efficiency in the regular game is 1.27 in the PTS. I like that a lot.

Gauss is OP. Nearly everyone I was playing with or against was in some Assault with 2 Gauss and secondary weapons (UAC/AC 10s and LPLs or PPC/ERPPC). TTK is up? Not in the matches I was in.

I don't see how this will affect lighter mechs or mechs with not a lot of tonnage for weapons. Affected my meta BK builds and other hi alpha builds, but only to the extent that I just staggered the LPLs and the ML (etc.), which I usually do after a single alpha anyway.

All in all: fix the gauss and I don't think this will be a big deal for most builds and most players.
