Hello, I am hoping someone might help me. I have noticed an issue with loading on my desktop where it takes an in ordinarily long time to get into the match. I am the only one that is loading when everyone else are already in. The screen states (Connecting) for me when I played with a friend. The laptop with Haswell chip in it (4710 hq) loads a lot faster then does my desktop (6700k with 32 GB of ram) and my internet speed is 60 mbs. I have cleared my cache, it helped with first log in, however the map load still takes extremely long time. Thank you for your time guys.

Help With Loading Time Please.

I don't know exactly why
But when the actual map loads it takes longer (longer then it used to), even the screen freezes about 2 seconds
Never did that before and the game runs stable/no crashes at all in like a year or two
First time it gave me a heart attack ;-)
(when the screen froze)
No idea why, I think it started with the patch when PGI was saving time on saving mech load outs

Maybe you have a slow harddrive?

try to defrag your harddrive might help a little. The biggest increase in speed would be to upgrade to a ssd. I would recommend the 850evo.

I have a new 2 tb 7200 rpm hdd. Before I always used hdd to store the game. I am consistently the last one in. I have never had that issue before on slower hatdware. I will see if installing the game on ssd will fix it. It is a fresh install, I just don't understand why there is such a huge delay now. Thank you for your help guys, and if anyone else has any other ideas please post them. Thank you.

If you find the sdd is faster you might look into why the 2tb is so slow. Maybe you just need drivers or a setting. Might be running sata1 when you could be doing sata3.

I did a upgrade about a year ago and was at a tight budget for and had to be really careful on what really makes a difference.
the conclusion (very big picture as to what works where - not specific manufacturers in non storage comparisons)
CPU - biggest difference in game play. Make sure your motherboard and ram are all tested with that CPU and you get at least the mid range
Video card - pretty darn good cards for around $200-250 will do the trick. Again work with what has actually been test with your set up
HARD DRIVE - not that big of a deal breaker during play. HUGE DIFFERENCE IN LOADING UP INTO A MATCH/WORLD
I am almost always one of the first 2-4 to load in and move and I have a dsl connection at usually 105 ping, but I am the only person ever on my connection.
I am also going with known name brands for long term compatibility. I Got a 100g EVO SSD and you can get more storage for the same price now (I am need for a second to add more games)

The 500 gig SSD that I have ensures me that my Dire Whale will not be left behind at the start of the match.

So I reinstalled the game on my boot SSD and poof, I was one of the first people in. So that got me thinking and I noticed that all of my games load super slow from the HDD. Vermintide takes so long for example that I can walk away, make tea, go use the restroom and I would be still loading. So I went through the intel drivers and guess what, I missed one. Installed it and poof the load times are nice and fast again on Vermintide, etc.
So all it was is a little intel chipset driver. Thank you for your help guys, Monkey Lover was spot on!
