Hello fellow Mechwarriors,

During the past weeks I experienced a series of very conspicuous behaviours, especially during the ladder tournaments.

This looks as follows: I look around a corner (or an enemy does), and before I've fired a shoot, my left (or right) side torso is opened. Next shoot, dead. Other parts were not even touched...

I've played in competitive leagues for 2 years, so please don't tell me things like "that's just skill"... It may happen with luck one time, but not 3 times in a row. Also, many players tell of such occurences. Players are being reported occasionally for that, but I dont feel like there's much following to that.

So, what i'd like to hear if many of you have similar experiences.
Imho, it's definitely time for PGI to do something about cheaters again - the banwave had an impact for a while, but things are getting worse lately to a degree that I consider the game not to be playable during tournaments.

Can you say with certainty that this is actually because of cheaters? Did you ever spectate someone and saw this from your own team's perspective?

I do not usually play at all during "events" as these seem to lure out the worst offenders in droves.

I had a shady ST 1 shot instance too tonight that just didn't seem to stack up. Can't prove anything though so not worth making a fuss about it. I saw what shot me, and I was hit by nothing else. Was insta killed from what appeared to be a single LPL to my ST on an undamaged Raven. Hmm.

This game has 'Mechs with huge alphas and firepower that can remove your side torso practically with one shot. And if you peek around the corner again ...

During every leaderboard events the number of cheaters increases. It is just how it is. I do think they are few enough in numbers so that one will not meet them match after match.

It's not that, it's abnormal damage outputs, I've been oneshot in a fresh Timber from the front and no it wasn't by the B33f in a Direstar

This weekend I got ct cored from an enemy in my front but I only lost armor in the back+internal structure.

Or a lolcust that stood still, got 2 alphas and the ct armor got only orange/red lol.

I never complaint about the possibility of cheaters in the past but this weekend was weird.

I have a feeling PGI is going to; hear nothing, look at nothing, and do nothing about cheaters. Or that is their public impression because they don't want to scare them off.

And they should really, cause it's a small niche game and these tend to die real fast if cheaters go unchecked

They should bring a big ban hammer and swing with ferocity and power of a thousand suns, banning not only accounts but everything associated to them, like Blizz did with OW hackers, where they even after buying a new copy of the game were still banned.

For me was it the same.
Ok, i´m not the best player.

But From 1 LR Missile Barrage only Left Torso was hit and compledly Opend + Deep Red. ( I had a XL )
And than get Killed by a Laser hit spread damage from Left to Right

Thats a known paperdoll bug they do nothing about for years. Sometimes it will show a component with more health that there actually is (like in your case) and visa versa. I once had a side torso showing black (i.e. destroyed) but I actually still had it because I had weapons in the arm attached to it and could fire them. I think I've sent a similar screenshot to support like 3 years ago or so and I know for a fact that other did same, but PGI just doesn't care.

Are all in the [Redacted] event with suspiciously low games/kills/score count - obviously hackers in my opinion and should be stripped. Its awful that a game like this cant deal with hackers =/

Played a game and saw [Redacted] last night, he was obviously hacking in that game too.

Because im not a Streamer nor do i have recording software on hand for a game i just started playing again after a long time.

Then stop throwing around baseless accusations. Anyone can make an alt account that starts in tier 5 and be a god out there simply because nobody around you have a clue on how to play. Half of the top 500 in your precious leaderboard is filled with alts.
