Here's the workaround to modify your dropdeck on the fly. Yes, it's worse than before.

----------------------------------------------------------
Once your locked in, go to the social panel. On the top there is a button to modify the drop deck.
Modify away!. Then come back in and re-select the deck you modified!

Edit: I'm hearing this may only work if you're in a group...
