So as the title implies, I am looking to cancel my clan wave 3 preorder however support@mwomercs.com doesn't reply aside from an automated response 2 minutes after you send the email is that the correct one to email to cancel?

I enjoy the game however real life focus has shifted and also I prefer IS mechs over clan mechs and I am in a IS unit so no real point to have clans also (even though I bought wave 1).

I am just looking for a straight answer, to me the game is fine but I see no reason to waste $120 when I won't be playing for 6-9 months.

Edit:Okay quick update I still have not received a response. It has been 8 days, since i sent the original message and I sent one to billing@mwomercs.com also just in case and on your guys advice.

Again thanks for the advice both ways.

billing@mwomercs.com might be worth mailing too. I asked for my preorder to be cancelled two days ago and still haven't heard anything.

If you don't hear back from PGI, contact your credit card company and have them issue a charge back.

Only do this as a last resort because I'd imagine you could put your account in jeopardy, much like steam throws a HUGE fit and will most likely ban your account for doing it at all (not saying mwo will do that too, but its a possibility.) Support for mechwarrior I have found to be some of the best and they are always nice and I haven't once found myself in a situation where they wouldn't do something for me that wasn't reasonable. If they don't respond in a couple days try to email again, as I've found at times my email doesn't actually make it to them.

Thanks for the advice, I wouldn't charge back since they seem to have a ban you first attitude towards it however if it comes down to the deadline I will and if not remedied then a more "civil" coarse will be taken.

I want to preorder something expensive, then cancel it to protest what they've done to the clan mechs.

I want to sell people products that perform one way, and then change the way those products perform after making my sales in the hopes that people will instead buy the new products I'm selling (before I nerf those, too.) See, I can play that game, too.

To the OP: Give it a day or so and avoid the charge-back since they'll just ban you.

If I had to go to the Credit Card Company to get my money back, a ban would be no concern really.

"had to" is the important bit. some people do it when they don't have to.

and since it was a holiday yesterday, and PGI is usually good with things like this, I'd say this is not a "have to" situation.

Yes, because giving them more things to do and wasting their money (refunds cost them raw cash) will really help the situation in so many ways.

They should respond within a day or two, especially if you go via the billing email address. http://mwomercs.com/support has the list of everyone you can try

Precisely why I wrote it that way Kilo. Most folks Jump to Calling the Credit company before they "Have To". It is not a last resort its a temper tantrum.

You can try to get in contact with one of the admins on the website and see if they can help.
but really only do this is if you don't get a response from billing.

I've sent message to billing@mwomercs.com and my Wave 3 have been refunded in a matter of 2-3 days. May be they're too busy with tons of refund requests now?

It also usually takes 2-3 days for money to be returned to your credit card, so don't worry about not getting your refund immediately.
