Micro Transactions

1. Charge Premium Time by the hour - I have not, and don't plan on buying Premium Time as it is structure now. My play time varies and I don't want to buy a week to only use it for a few hours. I will definitely buy Premium Time if it is sold by the hour for, let's say, 50 MCs per hour. I don't mind paying that for the hour when I will actually use it. They are selling a full day of Premium Time for 250 MCs, but I don't play 24 hours a day. I'll play an hour here and a couple hours there. They will sell a lot more Premium Time if they sell it by the hour.
2. Sell Modules in MCs - How many of you swap modules from one mech to another between matches? I know some of you are so c-bills rich that you can afford multiple modules for all your mechs, but maybe some newer players who are still grinding c-bills for mechs wouldn't mind buying a few extra modules with MCs. To prevent the P2W complaints, only allow MC purchase of modules after it is fully unlocked at level 5 and having bought the first one with c-bills. So it becomes a convenience to own multiple modules so I don't have to swap between matches.
3. Charge an MC "commission" to allow players buy and sell c-bill mechs to each other - Right now, if I sell a mech for 50% of the price in c-bills I paid, it's gone (off to the digital bit bucket). But I bet some newer players wouldn't mind buying my "used" mech at 75% of the "new" price. This will also allow friends "try out" mechs from each other. PGI can charge a small "commission" to allow such a transaction.
This is just a few ideas. I'm sure you guys can come up with more.

I add the custom geometry for MCs as someone proposed elsewhere.

If PGI had gone down the road of implementing a real strategy based system, with say lances as a discrete unit of an RTS.... the potential for convenience micro under $1 purchases would be vast.

Then they need to change their exchange rate. Right now, it's 4000 MCs for 6.5 mil c-bills. Just a little over what's needed for a good module. That's WAY too expensive. Again, they will sell SO MUCH MORE if they lower the costs. I bet they easily make it up in quantity.

I wait till these events just to do that and have another mech picked out for next time.
Sure I support micro transactions but with most of us over the years grinding for modules it would be a slap in the face to make it easy mode for everyone else.

Well, at least his ideas are presented as "BIG". Faction Warfare Phase 3. All the powerpoint presentations about how awesome Faction Warfare will be. No Consumables. No 3rd Person View. Quick Play will only be a hold over till Faction Warfare is developed. Gold Mechs. Super long and grindy Competitive Tournaments.
