The content is about Mad Dog dekkels (which is pretty funny), so those matter much less in this case. Directional arrow is still jarring to look at though.

While the maddog looks hilarious, stuff like this also makes an absolute mockery of this game and BT, just another reason to stop taking MWO seriously and give my attention to something else.

No! i've invested a sh!t ton of time and money into this game, and i'm entitled to object to mechs that look like cartoon characters.
PS. You still using that directional arrow ?! pfffft.

If you think about it, combat vehicles through the centuries have been individualized during times of combat... not sure if that one screams anything except "aim here"... but good for a laugh

yeah because lore is such serious stuff.

The entire battletechuniverse is a burtal mech driving parody of the real world.

Now paint a "I don't break for urbanmechs" on your Atla's butt and keep scouting

Oh wait, you aren'T Steiner, you can't even afford an atlas.

Oh, you mean things like that Liao pilot who painted the front of his Jäger in Davion colours (and thus became the unit expert on camouflage), or the pirate-riding-a-dropship of Ramilie's Raiders (lore merc unit), or the grasshopper-and-syringe of Lethal Injection (lore merc unit)?

And those of just some of the tamer examples. I could post lore art of Periphery and pirate mechs, but you'd have a stroke, so I won't.

Best part is I did it to mess with people, the entire point was to give people pause... And it does work.

It's your mech, paint it how you want to... boat up some LRMs while you are at it and really get the ubertrolls going.

Until you get close and realize those are lips, it looks kinda like a sad puppy with arms for ears.

Gave me a good laugh, thanks

You, are aware that there's a cannon merc unit that fought against the clans who were invading their world while their mechs were in KAIJU costumes right? Like this isn't BS, this actually happened in Battletech!

Oh let's not forget the Mech Olympics, with such events as Mech Baseball, Mech Gymnastics, ect.

Seriously man, I get wanting to take battletech seriously, going for the full out Real Robo, 08th MS team level's of holy crap muh realisim! But at the same time, Battletech, is just as crazy as IRL... and there are plenty of instances of mercs putting stupid decals on their mechs in canon... and as I said earlier, even an entire group who fought with their mechs in Kaiju costumes [they made Kaiju movies on the side when they wern't mercing.]

Having gone through Camospec's and just looking at different uniforms and unit symbols, yeah, Battletech actually captures reality well enough that those sorts of decals are actually not impossible to happen. I mean who would paint a battlemech like a colorized image of the horse head nebula and then taking it into battle. But, yeah, seriously, decal's don't bug me, I find it silly when someone puts a large frowny face on their mech's cockpit, but, whatever, to each their own. Plus it is easier to spot them at range, not that it helps my accuracy at all.
