I have been playing solo for a long while and I'd really like to join a unit.

I'm not looking to become an MLG professional at this game, but I would like a group of adults who work together as a team and play seriously now and then.

Does anyone know of a unit that finds itself somewhere in between totally casual and top tier competitive? Prefer an adult environment as stated above, younger players can sometimes test my nerves as I get older.

I'm in the USA on the east coast, but play times are flexible. I play 100% quick play at the moment, but faction warfare might interest me at some point. Thanks for any information you can give me.

Wow. It shows I put in an application with them already, according to my Enjin account, a few months back. It shows as accepted as well. I had some pretty severe real life issues around that time, since then I must have totally forgotten. I'll hop on their teamspeak and see if they are still willing to honor my application.

I guess I'll leave this thread open for more suggestions in case they do not want me anymore. If anything thanks for posting that Spike Brave.

Honestly, the best advice I can give is to hop onto CW. Make your own unit an go mercing it up until you find some folk who play when you do, who play in a manner you enjoy. Hop around on Teamspeak hubs until you find some folk willing to take in a newbie, or just launch for matches and chat up those you end up pugging with.

How do you actually join a unit? I see the option to create a unit in the UI, but no option to join. Is it invite only? Is there a list of existing units anywhere?

Units are invite only. And some units are a little more stringent on accepting new members now due to the cost of recruitment. TOG is a pretty fun group to drop with but believe many of them are Australians so they do play a bit more on oceanic times. 256 bear cav are also mostly casuals with occasional comp scene. You can look for white_bear84 or Bilson if you wanna know more about TOG and Mr bear or breaking wind if you wanna ask about 256

well if it helps, I'm a member of the TOG gaming community, I don't know what happen to the front main page, There is a public section for the MWO Division. So it is possible to contact through there
only TOG I have seen on has been Y2KHippy, but only been here a week now. But I also don't have every TOG on my friends yet, So some can be on, and I just don't know it

to be in TOG there is a Age requirement (24+), but they do have divisions that cater to those that can't join TOG, varies from game to game. GameVox is the Voip used, so you might want to get a GameVox account.

ETA: new forum there and link I first gave didn't work, try this one TOG MWO Division

GROG Corps is recruiting, but real life has taken us over. We only have 4-6 actives right now, usually we have 8-10 and are the best No Drama Unit ever! No kids here! Its like a meeting of Functioning Alchohalics Anonymous! We are not top tier anything, but when we show up, we end up carrying or at least doing half the damage on the team and with only 4 guys! (Not always true, don't rub my face in it.) Its a riot and a half and we don't believe too much in ranks or orders and generally just (in match) have a no nonsence mentality, everyone has input and we don't dropcall more than target priorities or a let's flank over there. Friend me in game or send me a message on this and we'll we what ya got! We also kind of stopped doing FW because of the long tom and some other stuff, but we loves our scouting!

BWC is recruiting on a constant basis as well: just head over to www.the-bwc.com, hit the application button near the top and follow directions. There is also an entire forum devoted to unit recruitment.

Owen, if you head on over to here as well, there's a list of units recruiting, timezones and a bit about them. Might help you filter what you're looking for.
