Hi all. I've been playing for a short while and have been looking at everything that I can for build and to determine what mechs I want to buy next. The one strange thing that I've noticed with a lot of Clan builds is that they include a Targeting Computer Mark 1, even if the build contains no missiles or PPCs. What is the major benefit to this for primarily laser builds?

For lasers the TC offers an increased chance to crit components as well as a slight range boost. You can find out by clicking the TC in the mech lab. You can also find out info on weapons by doing the same.
