Having said that, 3PV is not very user friendly. That's the only part of this challenge that was wonky.
What this event did illustrate is that most people playing don't understand why they get things on that list on the right at the end of a match. Hopefully this event helped many people figure out the underlying systems and how they worked.
I will go on to say, I hope... HOPE that the reason they did all this was to not only educate players in these systems, but that they plan to use these new metrics and completion goals in new and more lore/faction friendly mission types. With more things they can track, the more things they can have as mission objectives. This is what I sincerely hope is the golden egg from this squawking goose.

Come on, if you are going to count in game actions, try bug testing first.

CON:
- 3rd-person-challenge
for as long as you may haphazardly glitch into the cockpit upon brushing objects it is reduced to a mere and tedious game of luck.
Without full arm-movement in 3rd-person locking targets and hitting enemy mechs below and uphill - let alone uavs - is impossible and spoiling any additional fun the view-mode might provide.
- overheating-challenge
The terms were not utterly clear.
- “He’s dead.” = get killed after 300 DMG-challenge
Came naturally – after some 30 odd matches - when trying 3rd-person in a lrm-boat
PRO:
I also do agree that some other challenges
- i.e. everything encouraging narc/tag/ecm/uav-usage substantially improved teamplay.
And I had the impression that more people were coordinating themselves via voip and chat.(“Delta, delta, had a narc” ... “Still in the open.” ... “Cease firing, he ‘s underground”.)*
[* Yet still some guys keep twaddling about their personal loadouts and favoured breakfast during pitched battles when target coordinates ought to be the order.]
=> PLEASE MORE THE TEAMPLAY-FOSTERING KIND!
PROPOSALS: Thus my proposals for novel challenges in the future:
- "Sibbling rivalry“: Destroy (Deal most damage to) at least 5/10/15 mechs of the same chassis you are piloting; e.g. destroy 10 MAD-5Ms while in your Bounty Hunter.
- "Doppelganger" (or "Evil Twin"): Destroy (Deal most damage to) at least 3/6/9 mechs of the very same variant you are piloting within the very match, e.g. destroy 6 MAD-5Ms while sitting in your MAD-5.
The variant-challange should bring a higher reward than the chassis-shootout. Rewards (best MC/CB/XP) for both challenges should be handed out after the event and depend on a variant‘s/chassis‘ actual drops; i.e. 50k drops of Kodiaks ought to bring less than 2k drops of Victors.
- "Didn‘t see it coming.“: Destroy (= killing blow) an enemy mech via Air Attack/Arty WITHOUT being spotted.
*
Your events are getting better! Keep up the good work! Regards!

hit and run ... just can't get them, though i figured out how but nope
3 defensive kills ... having to wait and try to kill lights or damaged mechs at a cap point ... it's just too painful to continue to try
10 hrs in match .... ~2hrs of match time per day of event ... not even possible ... that's has to be 3-4 hrs a day including match time and waiting for a match
thanks for the free stuff ... bummed that not possible for me to finish it

Why not think twice or test the goals before even starting?

yep. looks like there is a hidden requirement of minimum match score or damage or something. My two "go to cap point and cap at once" on assault did not register on the event counter. Both had match score less then 100

on 2/3, had several kills in assault mode, enemy 'mech on friendly capture point - but didn't count for some reason -.-
EDIT;
And a few games later, I get two in the same game;

Oddly though...Our team pushed onto their base, so the op-for flooded in after us, and I got defensive kills for killing the red defenders - inside their own base...

On the other hand, the challenges were too weird and too many. Once in battle, you had to remember a load of crap that you had to do, instead of fighting. I didn't bother to remember more than one or two things and I didn't sacrifice the right thing to do at the moment to go chasing the events. This meant that I have completed 15 out of 22 and that by playing a lot. If I was in a normal period in my life, with a job and everyday routine to take care of, I wouldn't have completed more than one-fourth of them.
"The Flea" and "He's Dead" challenges are stupid. Refrain from forcing people to behave in an even more idiotic manner than normal. You asked players to behave like fools by setting goals that were counter-productive to achieving victory in a battle. Totally stupid - don't do it again.
Overall, I'd like to see any of these challenges in future events but not so many of them. Spice up the usual list of challenges with 2-3 of them in weekends. Of course, what you care about is to have players devote ungodly amounts of time in the game, so who cares about my suggestion for moderation of the number of challenges.
Lastly, bugs. I'm tired of trying to complete "Castle Byers." I've already completed it and it's stuck at 9 out of 11. I quit.
Positive impression overall.

I couldnt do a print screen it timed out while doing page up to look for the text that I had the killing blow. I even remember the jenner's pilot name if it's needed. That was my 3rd Defensive kill and I want it seeing how the event is ending soon.
Now that the event is over and definitely more than 30mins, my defensive kill still shows 2/3 when it should have been 3/3 with the final one being mentioned above. That freaking jenner DIED in the middle of our base cap and I had the killing blow, how is that NOT a defensive kill. sigh
