Is there a mod or other way to make the letters on the map easier to read? They are just a faint white blur. How about thick black letters about 30% bigger?

There's no specifically known way to change it. You could put in a request to support which would forward it for consideration.

In the meantime...

In game press B.
Giant map appears.
Use mouse wheel inside giant map.
Giant map zooms in.
Letters get bigger.

Hard to do during combat, but very useful.

Its odd they make the letters so small, I know I hear a lot of older players on VOIP. Pride of Nations (strategy game) has a similar issues. Are all game devs 27 years old with perfect 20-20 vision?

They don't, and I will leave it at that lest I face getting trouble for truth telling.
