In my, albeit limited, experience this doesn't happen often in the first place. Frankly, if that last light wants to run off and play for a draw or whatever I don't really have an issue with that. I can just go play a different mech,tinker with builds or whatever. I don't think the pilot should just get him self killed simply because living is mildly inconvenient to me.
