Another reason I won't buy a Bushwhacker is that it's become impossible for me to level new Mechs.

Tonight: one win from 11 matches. Yesterday, 90 straight minutes of losses.

I can't level Mechs under those circumstances. It's just too much of a grind.

So if I ever get the Mechs I already own levelled, I certainly won't be buying any more Mechs, at least until the atrocious travesty of matchmaking starts to give me a reasonable chance of winning half my matches.

(Well played PGI, you actually found a way to make new Mechs unappealing.)

After looking at the variant hardpoints, so far I think the only one I actually really want is the P1 and since you can't get that one unless you buy the standard pack plus the add-on pack, I will probably just wait until it comes out for C-bills

I'm buying the bushwacker. It's possibly my favourite mech ever - so many good memories of MW3.

Buy mechs that are not crap then. I never had such bad losing streaks when I was leveling the Archers, Marauders, Warhammers, HBK-IICs, to name last few purchases in this year.

Ugh don't remind me. The only one I did OK in was the Marauder. The rest this year bleh. I only bought the IS mechs and the Clan Viper and the medium Origins pack this year. So far not impressed with really any of them.

The quad UAC2 build is fun but I can't get the guns to mesh right with each other so they chain fire like crap.

I feel for you! That's the T1 curse.. great when you can play supped up meta build with all the bells and whistles.. but leveling most things from scratch... bit of a pain...or an awesome challenge.. depends your outlook/mental health at the time.. lol ;-)

Won't buy it. I don't like it and I won't sponsor PGI's lack of development of QP and FW anymore

Can't make up my mind about the Bushy.

In the time line it was first built just before or early in the clan invasion and was hampered with an engine shielding problem so there was only one variant with old tech ever built. The mech was later given a new lease after clan tech was discovered and used to solve the design problems. When it went into full production the Bushy was one of the first mechs to hit the battlefield with new tech like light fusion engines, plasma guns and so on and so on.

This would have been a great mech for PGI to roll out some new stuff for IS but like so many other things PGI has missed or ignored that possibility. As with so many other mechs I fear it will not be what people want or expect. I'm expecting one more medium mech with just a name we know and little else as far as what made it special in the lore or previous games. I even expect it to be way bigger or taller then it should be and then the whole idea of it design is lost in the translation to MWO.

Just can't decide if I want to go through buyers remorse with another IS mech.

On the fence about the Bushwhacker, leaning towards probably not, even though I've bought most IS packages to date. And it has nothing to do with PGI, whatever the state of the game may be, preorder bonuses or any of the many other things people whine about, be it with or without good reason.

I just have no emotional attachment to this mech at all. It's never meant anything to me in Tabletop or computer games, so there's no nostalgic incentive to get it for me at least. That said, it's a 3055+ era mech so...

X2: possible brawler with 2 MPL, LBX10 and SRMs
S2: dual AMS and 4 LRM5 support role

P1: Super SRM bomber
P2: access to PPCs

Hero: access to PPCs / 4 LL laser vomit.

I'm sorry but when did anyone think CW was going to be viable or good? I mean my first 2 week in closed beta with this community was appalling. Sure we have a creative community but that's about it. The first huge nail in CW coffin came way before CW when PGI made a 4 man group limit. Most people left around that time. Buckets was an issue from the start anyone who didn't see that was being way to optimistic! Units didn't even attempt to limit their own size. Units created packs with each other to farm randoms.

No, I won't be buying it.

As someone with only a couple months in the game and just a small collection of 'mechs, I don't see the value in the Bushwacker. For $20 I can get the Mauler to finish the R2 pack and everything that comes with that. Even after that the Bushwacker looks like less of a value for my money compared to the other offerings: I can get the Marauder, Cyclops or Kodiak packs for the same money, all of which are on my "to buy" list.

And that's not even considering the fact that I never cared much for the BW in TT or lore.

Now, if it was the Crusader? Yeah, Day 1 purchase, full pack with all the extras.

PGI will be getting my money in the near future but not for the Bushwacker.
