Since we're talking about the Battletech miniseries, I found it necessary to point out just how silly the first few moments of the series were.

As you can see from the entire thread, many will be spending money on this, for the most part, on nostalgia, when it will probably never be used to full effect because of its design. I bet if PGI makes more nostalgia mechs people love, within timeline reason, they would make buttloads of cash ;P

This is fantastic, I've been wanting this mech for ages. Unfortunately most of the timeline and most of what Mwo is willing to actually do to partial imbalances some mechs had over others strikes true fear into the designers hearts. Especially since there's a lot of clan design that went back into the bushy.

This little thing was a boss in every mechwarrior I remember, not that it could run down an entire team, but it was always durable enough to be able to be the first in, and the last out in a lance to lance combat. Although the one thing I'm still wishing for is that they would do is finally get the extra body pieces in. The LRM sits on it's own, as did in similar something like that Atlas's AC20.

Don't know if they're just mentioning what used to be. But there used to be a specific store area to buy Mechs with golden skins for $500 each. ...although in my eyes, I still thought of it as still funding the start of a game I was completely nostalgic for. If I had the money, I would have done it.

There are a lot of things I don't agree with that Mwo does, but I certainly don't believe that I, or the act of them doing this, was entirely crazy. I could find things that are far more harmful in business than trying to sell a $500 golden mech too. They have a right to make money, and they have a right to sell it off in the way that they see fit. It wasn't a requirement to buy a mech worth that much, and they actually ended up running through most of them.

I'm sure that we could all have our own opinions on how things could be better, but I believe they've done a good job to something that may not have existed otherwise. This game still hits a very large nostalgia button for me. Just because you wouldn't do it doesn't make it an absurd idea, and if it's a steaming pile for you there's question in logic as to why one would be here playing.

it is useless without an LBX20 as shown on standard variants of Sarna. That is what made it the primordial brawler that it was with that in hand.

You know that we aren't that far in the timeline with 3058 for those weapons? Sarna says Production was 3058 for the LBX20 and Plasma on those variants. PGI needs to advance the timeline!!!

Honestly its hard to keep track of every little ******* ***** fest certain players have every time a new mech is announced. You could go to every damn mech announcement thread and find the exact same people saying every mech released is either a cash grab, or trying to get people to pay for nostalgia, and bellyaching about "remember 2013".
