Oh man the heavy queue is gonna be so high next tuesday! I'll definitely be piloting my mediums and assaults for a while there

Probably mediums since being faster is good when facing lots of laser boats due to the duration

Well, since I missed the preorder I'll let my fellow players be guinea pigs. If it turns out to be really good or really bad I might not get it. I tend to like mechs that fall between mediocre and meta.

Anyone running a laser boat on the Night Gyr is nothing to worry about anyway, as it is a truly terrible laser boat - small engine + locked ES + FF + 4x JJ = no space for DHS and FAR too much tonnage for lightweight lasers.

You'll see the following good builds:

2xGauss + 3-4 ERML
3xUAC10
4xUAC5

and these potentially ok builds:

2xUAC5 (arms) + 2xLPL (STs)
2xUAC10 (STs) + 5xMPL (arms)

Ah good point, also good reason to use fast mediums since clan UAC's are more or less duration based as well. Much harder to use against faster moving targets.

Heavy, with jump jets, that has assault weapon space?

I purchased this back when I had some extra money on hand after those words left a friends mouth. I might regret it when it drops but I really don't think so judging from my gravitating to Mids / Heavys. So, much, weight for weapons. It is glorious. Can't wait to see how this thing treats me but if the Marauder and Ebon Jaguar are any indication, this is going to be sweet.

Actually you're right. It wasn't mentioned much in the novels. It was the card game. Memory is disappearing.
