I will briefly explain some properties that AC/2s can certainly benefit from:

- A higher velocity increase

- Less heat

- More ammo per ton

Since we're testing out a lot of weapons, I think it's worthwhile to determine if the AC/2 could benefit by having more power on the battlefield. I've already discussed with a lot of people about the effectiveness about the AC/2 in a previous topic of mine.

That's all there is too it. Agree or disagree; I just personally think that the AC/2 could use a boost and that it's something that is worthwhile to test out.

I would actually reduce its speed to something like 1500m/s so that it can sync better with UAC5 and maybe buff damage to 2.5.

Lower heat to 0.25.

Velocity is fine, fastest in the game (no modifiers)

DPS, not okay (with such spread, it doesn't deal enough DPS to be worthwhile)
Heat, meh (more DPS means more heat, but that's a fair trade off VS the AC5)

Its been pointed out that a single UAC 2 now has better overall DPS then the heavier AC 5. Not sure if it is enough to bring it up to balanced levels, but it defiantly gives it more of a niche as a DPS alternative for cheaper tonnage.

I'd want a bit of a faster cooldown to make them about to put out damage that is worth the tonnage you pay for them.

Heat and ammo would be nice quality of life improvements, but I don't think they would truly increase the "PowerLevel" of the gun in the long run.

By doing nothing to ac2 and nerfing ac5 you dont make ac2 better...

The AC/2 does have good DPS, and that's why it's not in my list of buffs. Good DPS by itself however doesn't make the weapon good.

It doesn't really need to sync with an AC/5. Honestly I believe that the AC/2 has more in common with the ER Large laser more than it does the AC/5. I prefer the AC/2 to be a weapon that can land hits on fast targets reliably from it's far-reaching distance. If the AC/2 has enough velocity to land targets almost instantly, then players won't need worry about syncing the AC/5 as much.

It may have the highest velocity in the game, but l do not consider it enough for the pin point damage value of 2 and the range of 720. Players can still miss quite often at that range even despite that. If the AC/2 doesn't have enough pin-point damage, then I would rather have damage that can apply itself to one location easily by having lots of velocity.
