If the 12yo suggest to push that I think is probably going to end up in a disaster, I'll take over the reins of command and counter with my own instructions.

Don't you hate people who say that?

Today there was a 12 year old (very high pitched voice) threatening to start shooting people, and calling us cowards for not pushing according to his cue. I ended up 2 kills, 400dmg, while his was a sub 200. Second game, same case for me and him. Very annoying. Promptly searched him on leaderboards, and found out he's ranked a shameful 11850, with a 1.1 WLR, and 0.84KDR. Very pathetic.

A previous game, some other nub asked the assaults to push into the eye of mordor (of course he wasn't in an assault), called them cowards till they did it, then he hid behind their backs, and promptly screamed for them to get out of the way, and promptly TKed an assault by coring out his back.

There is a massive difference between the atlas pilot who says "I'm pushing in, please support", and a rabid 12 year old high on CoD, asking people to push in, so he can come in and 360noscope everyone.

If you ask for a push, make sure you're the first one in. If not, put up and shut up.

Trouble is with your thinking, the team just sits and peeky pokes. If 1/3 of your team are brawlers you are now under gunned. I've played about 8k games across 3 accounts and around 9/10 times the team that stands idly is the team that loses.
People are slowly getting just sick of the hiding, peek and poke playstyle that many seem to favour.

If you won't move because you want to live longer and get a better score, then yeah you are a coward. Your personal score does not matter-nor does your survival only the team matters.

In the overwhelming, vast majority of times my team has pushed hard -we have won. that should tell you something.

Well, if you wish to increase your WLR, then you need to start giving out orders. Back when I was mic-shy, my WLR was around 1.2. After I played with various Marik units in FW, I learned to follow orders, and then later learned to give orders through VOIP. When I came back to solo-q, I still gave orders, and that improved my WLR to 1.36.

One must take hold of the reins of pugs, or one will be swept by them. So what if I gave wrong order and cost the game? I learned something from it--which cannot be said of many puggers.

Dam I keep having to put likes on El Bandito posts. Good comms win games, good comms can turn a game around. However whining and griefing during or after the game is lost is what is Cowardly.

It's usually a good idea to push somewhere.

It's better to try and fail, to wait and fail. Mainly because you can then get into the next game faster.

Waiting usually doesn't help to win, unless the team is mostly close range.

If you think your team is bad, like many times there are weak players, then the same applies for the enemy team as well.

Avg match score doesn't mean that much because it's heavily biased towards doing damage, which certain classes/playstyles are more capable of than others.

Kill/Death depends more on your playstyle than how good you are, though it's a far better metric.

Virtually the only statistic that matters is Win/Loss and even that isn't all that great of a skill indicator.

I just searched for you and these are your statistics:

Win/Loss ratio: 0.90
K/D ratio: 1.79

Lmao and you're talking about others' stats? Your K/D is the only thing not 'shameful' there according to your own criteria, and even that isn't all that good, I had a K/D of 2.33 last season and I'm not all that good. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

Dont tell me what to do!

I R HERO!~

Honestly though, I do try to be a hero too often. Either I push, alone, because I didnt have the time to yell at everyone first and saw an opening, or was hoping people whould take the que on their own, and follow. Or I'm using a mech with a plan to flank, even if it doesnt seem to be the right mech for the job. Sometimes it pays off, or sometimes (ok a lot) it's a complete fail. I'm still trying to learn (3 weeks in or so) what I can get away with.

I'm getting better with the comms, more sure of my self. But I still lack the experience to really know WTF i am doing. So if someone else pipes in, and gives orders. I follow them. Even if it is that whiney little kid that grates on my ear drums. I'm humble enough to know he might actually know better than me in this game. But I'll whoop his arse in EUIV or War Thunder.

However, I do find it annoying, if I'm in my flanker, and someone calls me out by name, demanding I stand around in the wait pile, or join the lemming train.

Sorry bud, not in this mech.
