Happens to me more than I'd like it too... And seen as someone mentioned it, I have noticed it more after the Cyclops patch than previously.

I use to not teleport, but as of late it's been crazy. It doesn't appear to be on my end from the best I can figure out, as my TS and Web Browser seem to remain unaffected (unless it's the MW:O website, which sometimes takes a long time to refresh).

I too have noticed this game taking more and more to operate, with less and less results. I recently bought a new computer (for me, recent is like a year or two ago). I was able to play this game reasonably fine on my old one, and the new one should handle this game no problems at all. It use to even when it was new. Now? Now I get teleporting, small and strange "shifts" and I have shots not register when they hit (always been an issue, even more so now though). I've even had times where I've mashed the shoot button to be rewarded with nothing.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've even noticed (of particular note, SRMs and SSRMs), where my missiles will "shoot" by the cooldown bar, but no missiles will "spawn" or render into the game. Thus, they did no damage at all. Then, I have to wait for the missiles to cool down to try it again (and normally the next shot shoots fine).


I'm thinking PGI may need to stop with new stuff releases (maybe after they cement Energy Draw) and concentrate on bug fixes and optimizations. Over the last year a lot of new problems have been cropping up. (I'm tempted to try and record my matches, so that I may be able to submit the videos to support and go "explain this", so they can see my issues.)

iirc your mech will stop when hit while being legged. which means you being pummeled from all sides brings your mashine to a fullstop and locks you in place.

take this with a grain of salt, i am not 100% sure that this is the case, as i am unable to find my source of information this time.

You do dramatically drop in speed when hit with only one functional leg left, but you don't come to a complete stop. Even then, you can still twist your torso and turn (slowly)...

The default cycle target key "R" is right next to "T"... so yeah I can see how this can happen a lot. I moved the target key over to "E" so it's not an issue anymore :)

Don't sweat it too much. That sort of thing happens from time to time - as you get more comfortable with the game, you'll commit fewer errors - not only will your mechanical reflexes be better, but your brain will be less excited by getting shot at because it recognizes the inputs as routine.

I think I forgot to mentioned, something I had noticed while in Training grounds, trying to recreate some of this, (which I couldn't), with a clearer look at the locations I had been getting stuck in, some spots I just could not, get into those spots, So it wasn't possible to recreate.

I think I started when the Cyclops patch came out or the week after. only on 2 maps will the warping happens the most. but not all the time. Mainly during the Highest population time.

So I believe the warping contributed to the times I was stuck, but could still twist, and it was the Chat keys, for the times I was fully stuck frozen.
but
for the time I was stuck that had me come here and post is still the mystery, because I could not twist, but I could move my arms.
I know I was near a wall, but not against, and even in the death view, I wasn't next to the wall, but near, I suspect I was actually wedged in the wall, but on death warped back to near the wall.
it's the closest answer I could conclude.
where I am standing in this image is where I was, but that wedge in the wall I bet I was warped into, if just in the right twist, the wall would stop me from twisting and turning (can't positively say that, just a guess). I can say positively, I wasn't dead against the wall, and was far enough away from the wall, where I should had been and where I place my mech to take the image, is the location I was in, before getting stuck. I went into 3rd person for this image shot, and to get a better view of where I was standing. well should had been, and in firstperson view it looked identical, minus the explosions and other mechs.

before that happened, I've been up against walls before, but I learn to press "F" to get me out of it when I lose my orientation of my twist and the direction my feet are, pressing F turns the mech to the direction I'm facing.

earlier today had a similar thing happen, Suddenly I couldn't move.

at the time it didn't occur to me, but
if another mech is standing on top of you, can that give that kind of effect ?

I've stood on top of mechs, so I know it can be done, and know while stand on the head of a Assault, I can't move forward or back, but can jumpjet, and torso twist, wonder if it's the same for the mech being stood on
well only successful standing on top of another mech twice, so it's not like I'm skilled at it, more luck, well maybe all luck
