Or maybe contact support instead of being a drama queen on the forums about it?

It's going to be taken care of. From what I hear, you might even keep both Zeuses and get an Executioner.

^ Public shaming is more useful in the case as somebody will get chewed out. Contacting support only fixes MY problem not other peoples. Also this post doesn't prevent me from contacting support at a later date. If anything you should agree with my actions.

(on Edit) The presumed fix is mentioned nowhere on this website and I don't use twitter.

I'm with ninja on this one. You should have taken it to support as this has been happening to different people but is not a widespread problem. I don't know who you are supposed to be public shaming, but that problem of yours can be squared away fast.

They already (PGI) said several days ago, monday I think, that instead of manually re-adjusting the awarded mechs, everyone who was supposed to earn X mech, will receive it automatically as an account injection when the event ends, and that you can keep the existing mech, sell it for c-bills, whatever. Of course why ACTUALLY read their posts in the existing event announcement thread when you can throw a tantrum in a totally different sub-forum and start a new thread over an already handled issue.

I gave up on the event. Scouting mode no issues, it was challenging. But invasion mode - 17 matches played. 16 LOSSES.

Think of it this way: You can play with a different build while not needing to master it or a free mechbay + C-Bills. Either way it's a win.

A free mech, while not the correct free mech... is still a free mech.

Hey all,

Given the number of players affected by the incorrect 'Mech injections, and the variable status of the 'Mechs in each account (from 'Mech sellbacks, equipment changes, etc) we've decided that Support services will not be performing manual swaps of the reward 'Mechs.
Instead, when the Event comes to an end those players who received the wrong 'Mech for completing their associated Ultimate Faction challenge will receive the 'Mech that should have been injected. These injections of the correct 'Mechs will be performed on Tuesday, September 20th.
The 'Mech those players received in error will also remain in their account, or in the case of a sellback, they will keep the C-Bills acquired from the sale.

We feel the above solution is the best middle ground in this case. Apologies to anyone who was affected by this issue; with the problem fixed no additional instances of incorrect 'Mech rewards should occur.

Damn you crazy man.

What is your issue with Founders, not to derail the topic.

And if people have a problem with these threads, that appear on a daily basis, why do they feel the need to read and respond?

You have to give Ideal some space, he's 66 year old cranky..Founder?

New players asking stupid questions, that is normal. Old ones not spending any time to see if question has already been answered, need for attention.

So you want to ban people who have made it to the end game? Do you want to ban the big groups because we'll, they are a group? This is PGI's error but if you seriously think the big groups are cheating for using the best gear and tactics you need your head looked at

They were completely and totally unprepared for what cheaters and organized guilds would do to CW. I say cheaters and guilds because mostly at the top levels in ANY GAME these are the same people. Often it is a particular group that gains leverage against the developers in the community early and just cheats their way through everything.

I did not see any cheating while playing invasion or scout mode.

What I did notice what scout mode definitely was a lot more fair. True I did face up against a pre-manned scout team three times (it was Clan Ghost Bear) and they did annihilate us. But in cases of all solo players and only partial pre-manned - the out come was a toss up. Though for IS it depended on some factors:
=Running mechs faster than 80kph (I tried running my 73kph Hunchback-4G - results were disappointing)
=Running 50 or 55 tonners

Though the much smaller number of mechs probably does help a lot too.

What do you mean by server-authoritative?

Large premade units beating pugs? Say it isn't so! Posted Image Even some of the most popular games in the world allow premade/pug matches to cut down on wait time- MWO only does it in one mode.

Edit: Most MMO's are server-authoritative and this doesn't apply to them. This isn't one of those games....

As I understand it, this game(MWO) is server-side authoritative;

Which is why MWO goes with server-side authoritative approach.
