Tyger and I are ostensibly the ones trying to get this going again, and we are both americans, and I want to be able to give this thing a real chance and coddle it. Therefore, just for this first week to see if we can even get the damn thing going again, I would like to stick with the simplest thing: The timezone I can personally wrangle the most people for, and that I am best able to help manage the matches. Heck, I think I have at least 5-6 people just from JFGG coming at that time slot. Lets just do this ONCE successfully, then we can flesh it out. If we can kick ***, there should be enough population to do multiple times/days/daily.

Hey, I'm right there behind you - gonna be doing infographics and helping, and my TS is available for use as well if required.

I should be bringing a few people with me too - along the lines of 1-6 there abouts.

As I told you, we have been in this before, making several events for different time zones for some reason do not work.
You understimate Euro Battletech enthusiast, there is quiet big German and Russian community of BattleTech fans, you will exclude just everybody else with this time. Again is freaking 4 in the morning with this settings here!

I say change time now, while is a time for that. When the event starts, changing time will be far more confusing and probably just left as is, excluding whole large group of players.

So make it as we speak about, 21:00 GMT.

The original proposed start time was 20:00UTC, you're the one that wanted to shift it later, to 22:00 / 23:00 UTC?

Hey dude, I put a message up there seeking Euro time-zone organizers to put together a Euro friendly event. If you want to head that up, let me know and I'll put whatever time you all work out on the calendar and any pertinent info (teamspeak, etc)

If Sergey is at 4am for 20:00UTC, that puts him in the unfortunate spot of not being in the EU, but being in the area of Russia that bands with Australia, poor guy.

We could look at doing an Aus/RU one too?

Neithers mine - I'd probably have missed it too honestly if I wasn't looking at it about 2 hours ago. xD

Russia freaking huge with around 11 timezones though.

Hmm ok this is strange, and maybe there is some miscommunication. Iam from part of Russia that is in europe, right now 9-30 pmEST is 4 in the morning for me. If its 20-00 UTC, its 23-00 for me which is pretty good. Iam going by the second post in with my time info.

Probably because making stock mechs was such a pain in the *** before. that is no longer the case. If the following is strong in your area, why not give it a shot scheduling a Eurozone time? With all the effort youve put in here arguing to change the time, you could have been playing matches advertising or hopping around various comms talking to people to drum up interest.

I like playing with you guys a lot, youre both skilled. But I have work, and cannot make the time you are suggesting. Period. I'm going to put effort in the next few days in spreading the news, and Tyger and I are putting money down to have a raffle for premium time. I think I should be able to attend my own event.

See, that clears things up some. xD

Most of the times have been referenced UTC/GMT.

I could have sworn that Ultrameks posts said UTC last night, but now looking seem to be anything but.

The second post was also pretty empty, without an actual time listed.

Now it says EST.



Yes, 21:30 EST is 02:30 UTC / 03:30 EU / Mid-day Australia. Not even a little bit viable for anyone outside of America. (Last night was not the standard for me, I just couldn't sleep)
Which puts me and my group out, as well as pretty much everyone not in America.

Yeah would be great, i did leave a message on russian forums, will wait and see about replays, there was one clan, who was very into stock mechs, we even did a couple or runs with missions. Like get the info or destroy one specific mech, was fun.
