If PGI doesn't use MW4 design as baseline than they are stupid. That design is an instant buy for me and will be perfect for MWO. I would never touch the original BT design that was suggested, that is another Phoenix Hawk that we already have. You BT purists can shove your original design and hate for MW4 Hellhound where you want, give me the MW4 version and I will pay for it.

Really, the lore artwork is absolutely terrible and uninspiring, you have to give credit to MW4 concept artist that he nailed this one.

I want the MW 4 hellhound too, but I also want it to be fair for the loreguards regarding the Wolverine 2C. Gotta be a way to squeeze in some logical retcon and make it canon, right?

Just make it 2 mechs. They did it with the Vulture with chin pods from MW4. (i think the new designation is Vulture IIC or something?) I don't see why they can't just separate Wolverine IIC and Hellhound.

(it's like 2 completely different creatures anyhow)

Also, PGI should get on this. Timeline wise, this works out. We SHOULD be able to get the Hellhound by now.

They could add the Conjurer (Wolverine IIC) in first for the loreshippers and the Hellhound second as a omni for the mw4 mercs fans both of them be a fine addition imo

Agreed! Aww... Along with the Flea, Cougar and Hellhound I want the Vulture which had the chin guns. One of the reason I fell bonkers for the vulture was the MW 4 vengeance intro, it was cheesy but kinda badass too.

Came to think of it. Movable gun mounts on torsos, I guess they should use the same aiming reticule the arms use, the circle. If fixed/ non movable it should use the cross, like other torso weapons.

Yeah, instead of a "generic humanoid mech", it's a "generic chicken walker".
Much improvement.

Jesus H, I misread that as the "Hellspawn" not "Hellhound" and came in here thinking about this 'mech: Posted Image

And then I got really confused when people started posting the Conjurer.

Anyway, drinking.

God... the more I look at this thread the more I can't decide where I stand on this issue... I REALLY like the look of the MW4 Conjurer, but... I also take serious issue with breaking away from source material like that. My point is, I love the way the Conjurer looked in MW4 but... it ain't a Conjurer...

I say make a compromise release the original Conjurer first then wait a while and add the Hellhound as a separate mech it appease both groups of the side and we have a choice of which one we want.

Considering the MW4 Hellhound is an omnimech, I would say it's an entirely different mech. The MW4 lore states it's used almost exclusively by the Jade Falcons, so why not just say it's the product of the same initiative that created the Cougar? Since the Cougar is basically an Adder redesigned with more pod space, It would make sense that the scientist caste would try to repeat their success with a heavier design, in the case of the Hellhound, creating a capable medium omnimech from a proven 2nd line design, the Conjurer. Both designs then become canon.

Yeah he was super inspired, same stub arms sticking straight out the shoulders that only angle up and down just like a bunch of the microsoft redesigns. I also like the inspiration for the upper torso, I imagine he saw a cardboard box sitting on a stool and was like WOW a block on legs!

Very inspiring mech design.

Cardboard eh? Very "inspired" response...

But I don't want to hark on you too hard, maybe you come from a country where "Cardboard" is like an entire different thing.

So let me show you what "cardboard" looks like to us Americans.

Hope this helps! Maybe next time, you won't post such "inspirational" response to his response.

Short answer, no. Long answer, no because that mech is a ripoff of an already existing design, like a certain knockoff mk2.....

The only derpy quads here are the Scorpion, the Sirocco, and the Goliath. Oh, wait, can't forget the Xanthos. Also, I think it would be hilarious if Quadvees were added before quads. Ultimate derpmobiles.
