- The claws are geared, so that opening and closing the bottom claw causes the top claw to raise and lower. The bottom claw opens and closes to 55 degrees; the top claw raises and lowers approximately a half centimeter.

- The arm weapon hardpoint is a separate piece; the following options are modeled:

- 3x MG
- AC2, 2x AC2, 3x AC2
- AC5, 2x AC5
- UAC5, 2x UAC5
- AC10
- LB10X
- AC20

- The Ultra AC hardpoints rotate, and the dual UACs are gear-meshed to rotate together as a unit.
- The elbow is jointed to 60 degrees.

- The shoulder is a ball joint socket.

I will continue to post sections as they come off the 3d printer.

Incidentally, the Formlabs Form 2 is expensive as all get-out, but SOOOO nice.

- The ankles and hips are ball joints
- The front toe pivots 15 degrees
- The rear toes pivot from -30 degrees to +45 degrees
- The knee pivots from -10 degrees to +45 degrees
- Once assembled, it should support its own weight in nearly any pose

That is beautiful!
I called it as a Form2 print. Only desktop printer with that kind of precision and finish I am aware of.
Well made sir, I look forward to the finished build.

The ankles and hips are looser than I'd hoped; I'm going to figure out what to do about that tonight.

It's all starting to come together.

- The cockpit canopy is, in fact, clear
- Every single button, dial, and lever in the game is replicated inside the cockpit, including the overhead monitors
- The top of the center torso has an access hatch, with a ladder leading down into the cockpit
- There's a (female) mechwarrior sitting at the controls
- The waist is a ball joint
- Each side torso has two hard points, each of which can accomodate a Heat Sink, Energy weapon, or Missile weapon (LRM10 and LRM15 weapons take up two hard points)
- I've modeled nearly every possible weapon, although some combinations are impossible or different (i.e., if you have more than two lasers than you'll need to mount them on the left and righ torsos, and won't have room for missiles; likewise if you have more than two missile launchers or more than one big launcher you won't have room for lasers)

All that's left now is to print the LRM15, Large Laser, and Heat Sink and mount them to the torso; I'm also probably going to print several different weapon mounts and swap between them when I get bored.
- I also have a surprise that I think will impress people, but will take a week or so to set up.

And here we are with the stock configuration (2x AC20, 1x LLAS, 1x LRM15):

The print is at 1:100 scale, so she stands about 6.25" tall (6.75" tall if you count the antenna).

Next I'll be printing alternate weapons: three additional heat sink plugs, an extra large laser, four SRM6's, and maybe a pair of PPCs.

Actually, I think next I print a second one as a gift to the best figurine painter I can find on these forums, on the condition that he paints both of them and sends one back to me. :)

And finally, here's all my alternate weapons:

Posted Image

Missiles: LRM15, SRM6, NARC, Streak SRM2, Heat Sink
Energy: ER PPC, PPC, Large Pulse Laser, ER Large Laser, Large Laser, Medium Pulse Laser, Medium Laser
Ballistic: 3x Machine Gun, AC20, Gauss Rifle, 2x Ultra AC/5

- Yes, the Ultra AC/5 barrels rotate, and are geared together so the firing barrels line up.

I'm a little curious to see what the pilot and cockpit look like since you mentioned them.

Must be reaaally small details in there!

Jeebus, that's beautiful. Incredibly well done sir.

If you need a painter, I'm slightly up and to the right of the bottom left of canaduh, and I have a cabinet full of Golden Demon trophies lol Posted Image
