Okaaaaay, the spider's nice and all, but where's my Urbie? Or Annihilator?

Yeah the Annihilator was one of my Top#3 favorite 100-Ton Class.
Yes it was insanely slow, and yes it was a punching bag for lights, but
if you set it up right the lights wouldn't even have a chance to get close enough
to you to get the kill.

Another delightful surprise!

I'm totally digging this interpretation of the Spider... hands down best I've seen. It's actually legit looking. I'm sure at some point in the past few months I was pipe dreaming about seeing a Spider in the game... but it just seemed so far away... so untouchable... so unknowable... so why hope? Besides... who could possibly pull off a believable yet true to canon interpretation of such a Mech?

And yet... and yet... my 39 year old eyes opened wide at the sight of "Battlemech 15," as my heart skipped a beat, and deep down inside I knew... the developers... they understand me.

Oh my god.. Why...WHY do the keep adding fingers to mechs. They serve no purpose, they arent carrying anthing. It looks silly

Realy? Lore wise is why. Mechs can and DO carry things and the cockpits DO have equipment <gloves> for the fine Manipulation of those hands. Hencw why some even carry Pistols, then can be disengaged for Melee and the like.

Looks nice, but why the spider......

Quite simple.. SCOUT ROLE the weapons on it are simply for defense from other scouts.

OK......

while I'm disappointed it ain't my Urbanmech...... that thing IS dang schmexy. Seriously, I totally love Alex's work on that, as I always felt the original looked dumb, and the Dark Age version just WASN'T a Spider.

This looks dang good, though I wonder.... since Spiders don't have ejection seats..... does getting your mech blown up cancel your account????

The spider wasn't a LAM.

you would be surprised at what bare minimum weapons can accomplish on a high speed mech with jump jets.
but the spider will no doubt excel in the scout role.

pretty sure that the "light up stomach" is simply the red fiberglass sealant in the mech's torso reflecting the light from the laser, not some custom low rider LEDs, lol.

I could be wrong, but would feel safe betting I am not.
