Where do you get the tonnage to run that? Gauss usually takes 3 tons of ammo, so that's 15 tons spent right there. You've got 1.5 tons of pod space left unless you strip a crapload of armor...

3 tons of ammo for a Gauss rifle? I usually make do with 1 1/2 tons with my SHC Gauss+2 ERMLas.

I can understand 2.5 depending on the build, but 1.5 is pretty lowball. If you're going to spend 12+ tons of weight on a big gun you might as well be able to use it throughout most of the match.

As I said earlier, gotta lore build m8. That means an active probe and 2 ERMLas. That, and I've gotten tired of being legged every single match, so at least 36+ leg armor.

Lore. Because with lore on your side, instead of normal combat, you can have a battle of zellbrigen, with whoever loses promises their forces will surrender.

Wrong the story is about Santa Klaus(lore).
Nice story.
The parents bring the presents(damage/wins)

gotta remember there are probably as many folks who have played only the electronic version of MW who like the images and basic mythology of Bt and think TT should be completely separated as far as mechanics. I try not to be a jerk but somebody has to at least even out the score by slamming the door on missionaries and true believers.

Plus what the hell were you talking about. I have not seen any of it mentioned on PGI website.

Negative ghost rider. I just call a **** a ****. Unlike Heavys or Assaults, Light drivers know the real deal. we are not about Alpha strikes or armor density. We move fast and look to help our lance to put the dirk in nicely.

The cheater does it way to easily. And I use to drive the mechs when you could fall down! driving lights now is a breeze compared to back in the day.

If you think lights are a breeze now, then you could probably successfully drive a heavy mech while in a coma.

I can't tell if you legitimately don't know what zellbrigen is or not, and I also can't tell if you truly don't understand me joking around or not. And you have to remember, this game is still calling itself "A Battletech game", and until it stops doing that, I'll be running lore builds, and other people will have their own things they do to try and make it resemble BT instead of Russ' E-Sport extravaganza.

Isn't that what most players in QP are doing right now?

I can drive heavy and some mediums very well but I'm a light pilot. I could just as easily say stop driving the mech you like and use something else. The fact is light mechs are all shite compared to a Arctic cheater. That is my point.

Really do not know what Zellbring is except that it is not part of the mechanics of the game. Unless it helps my team win I treat it as blah blah blah.

I look at original art. I look at original timeline. MWO looks like BT to me as much as any online game looks like its source material.

Hint I just poke the bear for fun too, BUT from the other side.

Have the Clans really fallen this low? The Crusaders have destroyed our way of life in the search for vengeance, and now we will all pay the price. Kerensky would be ashamed of us.

As a light pilot who learned on the jenner D,went through ecm raven 3l and moved to now I find the ach to be god mode easy and refuse to pilot it. It's just too dam easy to do damage and kills in yet like all other lights it has the exact same weak spot. If you haven't learned how to kill lights by now you never will. i'll continue to wreck with the jenner d and locust. Don't think locust can be good check out my ace of spades with it images link in my sig.

As for the light resale pgi had their head up their *** on that. A light should not be the same size as a heavy mech. Catapults look like a light too. Best way to use the jenner is jump jet judo and ninja with the others for the hit-n-run bonus.

Here's the link (forum won't let me just post the pic). It's an awesome build, has +20% ballistic cooldown prior to using gauss cooldown module. It's 1CERML short of the Gauss Hellbringer build

Adder soloing assaults. What major potatoes are you facing? The Adder is a giant walking CT with light mech armor just asking to get shot. And that's coming from someone that loves the thing to bits.

Really though, I've just been doing reflex checks on all the big dakka boats I see around. You'll get your face shot out going against someone going gauss and PPC, so I check what a target is running before revealing myself. Once you pick a target though you'll need a good corner to peek around, just do the good old wall peek with a strong arm and be accurate enough to hit all CT shots, then go back around the corner, repeat until you've baked the potato.

Really though, I nearly killed a Dire Wolf like this just yesterday without him even getting a good 10 points of damage on me but got my back cored out by a commando that dropped behind me with a load of SRM6s, enough to kill me after the battle damage I had suffered earlier.

Huh. Guess we just have different experiences then. I'm usually the guy barely peeking over a ridge before getting headshot at 800m by the PPC Warhawk that just turned the corner, so I'm used to not poking at all if anything above 60 tons has seen my last poking position.

Adder, in my experience, has a hard time hill peeking for whatever reason, could be that the CT shows above your cockpit view position, could be that going over hills means you are more revealed, could be that you are running the lore dual ERPPC build which requires you to fully expose yourself to fire those ERPPC and the warhawk you shot at just sees some wide 35 ton CT standing out in the open and decides to smack it down.

Meanwhile I'm poking around sides quickly on enemies with loadouts that have a hard time putting pinpoint damage into a location, moving quickly at close range, pumping out 55 points of heavily screen shaking damage, then disappearing before the smoke clears. Most people I hit just aren't expecting it, heavy mechs will go and peek at me twice because they just see an Adder then they go hide because they just lost a whole side torso containing 90% of their weaponry and only managed to barely get any one component down to orange armor because of my superior cover and rather low down size.

Really I play it like a Locust 1V, just constantly peeking out and taking a shot then quickly going back before shots hit me, and whatever does is usually lasers that spread, then I also make sure to avoid any area that I see someone with a gauss overlooking. Adder just has much more armor and a 5 times higher alpha strike, of course slower speed and bigger size too.

I don't mean just with my Adder. I don't poke period outside of an Assault if I know someone is pointing that direction. The mech that got headshot by the Warhawk while hill poking? A Shadow Cat, aka god of hill humping. Don't ask me how I run into people that can snapsbot like that, because I'd like to know the reason myself.

Personally, my main problems with the Added though are it's comparative size (Hunchback IIC being the same size, lol) and something that most of my mechs have in common: it's only basic'd. When I'm talking about balance for a mech, it is almost always without speed tweak, or the doubled basic skills, so poking around a corner takes a bit longer than is healthy for me due to the start and stop. That and my aim is garbage, can't blame that on anything but myself.
