Cheetahs aren't that tough since they lost their leg quirks and got their hitboxes fixed. It's ridiculously easy to leg them and kill them.

Their hitboxes are identical to the way they were at release.

It was all in the quirks.

No, they did actually have some hitbox issues similar to what the FS and Spider had. After PGI fixed them, hit reg went up significantly. It still wasn't quite enough to balance them though, so PGI decreased their quirks.

I never saw any ACH hitbox changes in the patch notes. The only listed nerfs to it were quirks.

Hitboxes are, in most cases, a scapegoat.

Where were you then? It's been some time ago, but it happened - there was a big to-do over it.

Go back a while and read through the notes.

I don't remember an ACH hitbox change at all. I think it's up to you to look for it instead. Normally something like this doesn't go unwhined about by the loudest of forumwarriors.

I was playing during and after the release time.

Still didn't see any hitbox changes.

Yeah, Lights are soooooo gimped. So weak, that they can easily kill half of your team after getting 2x 100% ER-PPC shots (hits registered!) + some 5xML and SRM10 (at least 2 alphas) damage from you (Jenner was running around me - I had enough twist speed for hitting him point blank), lol.

This is what happens when we let game balance be decided by noisy T5/4/3 bads who can't hit small targets.

We get one light mech that stands out, because it is the least crappy.

Which is also the reason why pgi decided to volume rescale UP, instead of volume rescale down. Potatoes need big targets.

*Shrug* Sorry to hear that you forgot about it. I recall it distinctly, and there were forum threads about it. Lest I am losing my mind, I asked several Unit buddies about it last night to be sure that I was remembering correctly, and they all agreed.

As for me looking it up, do it yourself if you're that concerned about it. I'm not going to work for you on it, lol. I personally don't care what you think. You don't have to believe me and you don't have to look it up - that's your choice. But I'm not going to go and do it for you just because you won't.

Maybe you were taking a short break during that time? It's not a recent fix, btw; it was quite a while ago now.

Up until Nov 2015 the hitboxes were not changed. And I think we'd remember within the last 10 months if it were.

It's on you. If it were something in the notes, I would've complained endlessly about it. Unless you have a source (especially since it is your claim), then it's not on me to find it.

I mean... if we cite something and can't back it up... that's a problem.

Like I said, I don't particularly care if you believe me or not. It's not worth my time to go back and look for it. If it's bugging you that much, you can go do the legwork yourself. I'm not wasting my time on it.

Regardless of who's right though, it doesn't change the fact that the Cheetah is hardly an OP Mech. It's actually not that hard to kill.

You're gonna hate what i did to my Adder. I left everything on my Adder Prime stock except two things. Ripped out the targeting computer and used the tonnage for more heat sinks and then ripped out the flamer and replaced it with an ER Small Laser. One of the few cases where the stock loadout almost got it right in terms of being the best thing you can do with it in MWO.
