So there was talk of a loyalist bonus since the merc centric bonuses rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Did they ever tell us what that is or is it so much chaff in the wind?

There was talk of a loyalist-centric event, probably sometime after the inevitable night gyr leaderboard

It was with the hotfix thing. I can't remember exactly where and it will take a bit to locate the exact info. It was in response to a bunch of loyalists posting to PGI "why are you catering to mercs?" So they posted a we will give a bonus at the end of the event. I figure they hoped no one would bring it up personally, but if there is a pot to stir, stir it I will.

Cool. Rewards to correct a "merc centic" bonus. This just strikes me as ironic/absurd.

Phase 3 made being a loyalist pointless. Scores complained and PGI did nothing.
Last week we had Russ's podcast where his "fix" for CW is to essentially eliminate loyalist (for all intent and purpose).

But we have a two week event with a potential reward imbalance toward mercs and NOW they want to fix a perceived "merc centric" imbalance?

This should be funny, but I just can't stop shaking my head in disbelief.

Not sure if you guys noticed but the address of this website isn't exactly "www.mwoloyalists.com" or anything.

As a Kuritan loyalist who doesn't play CW, I suggest everyone who is dissatisfied with the loyalist situation become a mercenary...problem solved.

Once they steal my faction identity (you know, the last shred of lore left) I doubt I will play FP much if at all. That's because phase 4 will essentially be merc play not factions based upon what has been represented.

If I wanted to be a mercenary I wouldn't have chosen loyalist. I have played as a clan ghost bear for years since my first table top game 21 years ago. I am not throwing away the faction I love.

Hmm...a CW mode where everyone is part of the same group...the same bucket of "mercenaries", if you will...sounds kind of like QP with respawn. Oh wait! That's what we are getting!

The website for this forum may be mwomercs.com, but the whole "faction play" or "faction warfare" mode of this game, I think, ought to have something to do with factions. Crazy, I know.

Hey! Here's another idea: they could always go for a mode that has some sort of...what's the word...um: group? nah...oh!: Community! Yeah, a mode for the larger player community! A mode where the idea is to get large groups of different kinds of people together to work towards common goals. Bah. What am I saying? I know, I know, its been tried, and people aren't interested, including PGI. They don't want factions or community, they want call of duty in robots.

E-Sports!

Well, encouraging everybody to go merc has done wonders for the queues.

That would make excactly one tangible reason to go Loyalist. I really don't think any of the merc units would give up all the current benefits of being a merc for all the drawbacks of being a Loyalist for an exra 20 tons.

What negative effect on the queue's has mercs honestly provided? People having the ability to contract switch has allowed people to reinforce populations to provide people games.

People would also be a loyalist for a extra 20 tons. The only benefits of really being a merc is finishing off the merc LP tree, events that allow mercs to earn another mech like the last one that everybody is up in arms about are rare.
