Mmkay, cleaning the system made everything else run quicker, but MWO still pulling 9 - 10 fps.

Adjusting the settings on the nVidia control panel as recommended and manually turning everything in-game down to low (and swapping it to DX-9) pulled me up to 12 fps...

uninstalled nVidia drivers, reinstalled from scratch, set power settings to max perf.

60+ fps

huh... see if it lasts
