Hey everyone!

I'm sorry if a post like this already exists, but has there been any brainstorming/theorycrafting concerning new builds for the Summoner once the "Customer Appreciatation Pods" hit the live-server? I really like the chassis but the build-options for it are currently rather bland.

Basically it'll allow two things: 6E laser vomit and vast improvement to the dual PPC build by moving them both to the torsos rather than in a vulnerable and low mounted arm.

I see, not too much theorycrafting needed, then ^^ But 6E laser vomit sounds good

You will have the possibility to have a lazor with the classic 5xSRM launchers. Wich is a plus. Really a small plus, but it's a plus.

And the new arms with a B + E hardpoint are cool : you will have the possibility to made a dual UAC/5 and quad med laser. Or something like this...

For a short to medium amount of time, summoners will be really good dual PPC poptarts. Then PGI will move the quirks to require 8/8 omnipods, and it will never be used ever again.

The summoner already is a good dual PPC poptart. Had plenty of good games with it. The new omnipods will give a large boost to the viability of the summoner! Finally you got the possibilty to combine the LBXs and UACs with 4 Lasers (ER or Pulse). Actually you can increase the Alpha of the summoner by 14 without having to use SRM spreaddamage in a third weapongroup with a totally different velocity to UACs. Cant wait until they come out for C-Bills! Its what the summoner needs since years...

If I remember right, the Summoner F (I think, the one with dual UAC/5's), is the stock Summoner setup from Mechwarrior 4 Mercs, might just do some tweaking and run it "stock+"

maybe, I think the big thing is velocity, which you have on tap with TCs.

I do believe you are correct, it is also the basis of the primary variant of the Grand Summoner... a 3085 optimized Summoner with removable JJ and Endo Steel.

Hint: TCs stack with quirks. Thats the point. 30% quirk + 30% TC5 = +60% velocity ;)
