I'd also be fine with the Bane and Kingfisher myself, but the Clans could SERIOUSLY use a 20 ton light mech like the Piranha or Firemoth right about now.
Piranha sure is ugly. But then I saw it had 12 machine guns.
DO WANT.

The current single pack pricing model is so bad for light mechs your be paying more then the mechs actual ingame MC worth.
Since 4000MC is the rough equivalent to $20 and 3000MC is $15 Dollars those are the baseline I'm using.
The Phoenix Hawk which is the lightest single pack mech currently released somewhat shows the problem with the one size fits all Pricing model.
The Standard pack is OK cause one variant that came stock with XL and ECM really brought up its price. So the 3 standard mechs plus bays were roughly 7000MC so for the equivalent price of 4000MC It's not a bad deal.
However when you look at the heros and reinforcment it's another story at 3675MC for the hero+bay at the equivalent price of 3000MC you see your getting very minor savings like about 15%.
The Rienforcments in only slighty better cause a variant had XL stock so raised the value by about 1000MC at around 5000MC or 4000MC if you took out the XL engine inflation it's a slighty better deal then the heros.
The Phoenix Hawk is a 45 tonner if you used the lightest medium like the hero Cicada 5X+bay at 3300MC at a equivalent prcing at 3000MC that's almost like paying full ingame price.
Now lets take a look at the extreme end on the lights with the locust. At a average of 600MC per mech + bays a standard pack would be 2700MC at the equivalent pricing of 4000MC you are paying about 33% more then the mechs actual ingame cost.
Now the hero PB+bay is 1800MC at a equivalent cost of 3000MC so your paying about 40% more then the mechs actual ingame cost and the reinforcement add-on would come out a about the same.
Clan mechs tend to cost more because of their expensive stock equipment so you generally get better deals on the mech packs.
The simplest solution would be to lower the cost of all the light mech pack options by about $10 dollars. Or they can merge the reinforcment pack with the standard pack then merge the hero add-on with the collectors pack.
As far as light mechs I'd like to see would be the pirahna and hollander(BFG baby).

The Urbanmech came out in a pack... I wonder how that did?
Besides that, you have light mechs constituting the entry-tier for multi-tier packs (resistance, wave, etc.). Perhaps they are working on a Resistance III tiered-pack?

to be fair, well enough they made it. I think thats the only way we can get any sub 35 ton mechs at this point in time.
Best case, if we put the money up front [they need to put something art wise up first is the issue], they'll make it. If not, dont expect any sub 35 ton mechs ever again. Worst case... well right now.

Not sure how many tonnes it is, just that it is assault class.

The urbanmech was a special case as it was very demanded. The mech wouldn't have been made if enough packs weren't sold. There are few light mechs that have even a semblance of the rabid fervor of fandom that the urby engendered so it will be much harder for normal lights to make sales. As for the four packs the light tier was usually just a stepping stone to the bigger mechs cause the a la carte options were kind of a ripoff and you could get alot more content for just a few bucks more by just increasing your tier lvl.

We all know what we want at this point. Juodas will comment about the Scorpion, someone will take a dig at Imperius, someone will request the Piranha, I'll lament the mediocreness of my namesake, and Bishop will eventually show up and like a bunch of posts.

EDIT: If PGI had fixed weight class balance, I would want the Cougar. But since it would probably be a slow glass cannon, I wouldn't pay for it right now.

Correct. Though as the next mech is supposedly Clan, and we need a 20 ton option?
