Can we have a toggle option for how we would like the override to be set at the beginning of the match. It is much preferred to have to turn it off when it is not needed than to turn it on when it is needed.

Nah, for the community, you really don't want to have that permanently on.
I have never seen a single game won because someone was using it, and I have seen many games lost because someone did.
If they added the toggle setting, the number of idiots (and pros alike) blowing their freshly armored mechs up would go through the roof. It's already bad enough.
You just keep manually doing it, you've already got the habit down.
