So.. When Does The Viper Gets Its Long Overdue Quirks?

The moment you wanna customize it as an Omni mech it loses even those minimal weapon quirks.
Why PGI did this to such a garbage mech?
We have tons of Omnimechs with per-pod quirks with no problem. The kitfox, Adder, Nova, mist lynx...etc.
Whose brilliant idea was this full-set quirk BS?... and why they tried it on the Viper first?
The thing needs some massive durability and MG/SRM/Heat quirks.
Should we wait 2 years for PGI to finally take note?

Fine by me...
After IS mechs lose their ENTIRE quirk list first.
You still have to have quirks on a half of IS mechs but most still suck but a lot of them can be removed.
But it will never happen . Last time Russ balanced clans he gave the low tier mechs quirks then few weeks later he gave the top tier mechs quirks.

Set them up in two groups of 4. Only alpha when you can fire and get away
I wouldn't call this mech trash.

It isn't trash, but it certainly isn't good, I would sooner take an Ice Ferret or Shadow Cat before I take a Viper.

Nothing about the Viper is meta currently, even SPL boats fall low on the totem pole. GMan really wasn't wrong for putting the Viper in mid Tier 4.

Uhm, what? The non-meta builds definitely need some help, but boating SPLs or combining SRMs with SLs is awesomesauce.
Been constantly running them in the past 3 weeks.
Nothing works. Tried every possible build you can think of.
You can make it a glass cannon, yes, but it disintegrates the moment someone farts on it...
Can you believe this thing does not have structure quirks?
Your arms are the first things that go poof!
its either too hot, too squishy, or too undergunned to be taken seriously

This is why I like the 8 SPL build. I never fire more than 6 SPLs at the same time, but I can afford losing an arm without losing significant firepower.
It's definitely fragile, but it's also so amazingly fast, with great jump jets. It should definitely have structure quirks. Again, PGI doesn't like helping the smaller mechs too much, it makes the assault jocks angry. Funny how the Kodiak has great structure quirks, the Viper has none.

Well, you don't have to tell me that, but sometimes the meta can be surprising if you're not surfing the metamech websites or whatever. So I'll expect a mech to be considered good or bad and then find other people have the opposite view. Usually I'm right, but sometimes I'm wrong. And sometimes I'm just ahead of the game

Why? The Shadow Cat is a better mech, why does it need more quirks before the Viper?

mechs shoudl be uber agile, or uber tough or have a nasty bite, not all of the above.
