Swordsworn/Davion through and through. I went to US Nationals twice, before budget constraints and some rather rapid changes to the game forced me to fall away. I still have my collection.

Edit: I actually ran a forum unit, 3rd SOG. For a while we had a pretty extensive list of members.

I went space whale in collecting them when the game was still being supported and played in local gaming / comic / hobby shops. I've since been selling my collection off on ebay. I still have to get around to sticking up all my Ghost Bear Dominion, Clan Jade Falcon and Clan Nova Cat units. I think I sold off almost all the Clan Wolf units already. I played with one of the former world champions (he was also from Ottawa) in many an event. I eventually reached level 3 battlemaster and was running events at one local comic store in the final 18 months or so of the wizkids game before the plug got pulled on the entire division shortly after the wolf's dragoons mechs were released, and the solaris VII mechs. The sale of a Kolyu Nyx and a CJF Raptor II last week paid for my Bushmaster basic pack pre-order.

I still have all of mine, including my "KRL" modded army, complete with pilot cards. I repainted them and everything.

I dont play, except for occasionally when I beat my modded mechs with normal pieces because the dice feel like saying "LOLNO" to a 12 atk value into an 20...while saying TROLOLOLOL **** YES! to a 9 into a 24.

Just started this year.... I want to educate my children with this game and I think MWDA is simpler for a 5 year old boy.

(Ok its not, that simple - but at least he is proud as hell to play with my "Raboders"
Don't play vs children - while you are lucky to roll maybe 10 points the little one was throwing multiple sixes

Do I have a fav? Well I really like the Atlas III and the PO II both are well-made miniatures - others are more fugly.
Factions? No not existent - all those factions deserve to die.
(At least the second thing i did was to take my dremel and remove the Ara Militaris logo from a Panther after my one year old girl was finished with him.

If I had a spare room, I'd totally craft some display terrain, rip them off of their bases and set up a diorama.. (even if the scale was atrociously off.)

One day this will be my plan also. I will set up a display of some type for them. I doubt I will ever part with my collection.

Crazy how many people who play this game also played MW:DA/AOD. Lots of people still hold on to their entire collection also, many just for nostalgic reasons. They were far from perfect and some of the ones I have now are just terribly painted but it is still a great game and a lot of fun.

Nothing wrong with that.

Played it quite a while as well (and dumped a lot of money into it). First Highlanders, then Liao (which i all gifted to a fellow player who played longer than me. i just kept the Hellstar - couldnt part with it ^^). Still got the rest of the collection though - checked ebay a while ago and decided that its not worth the effort to sell them off.

While they are not worth what they once were, some of the lots still sell for a good amount. Far from the days when certain units went for $100+

I still have mine somewhere. I seem to recall a lot of the mechs are in bad shape, from breaking easy and not great storage.
I didn't enjoy it as much as I do TT, but this thread is making me think I should attempt it again.

Yeah some are fragile as heck from poor production or from years of storage, freezing or heating.

playing with my 10 year old son I have dumbed down the rules a lot, no heat, no orders, everyone moves and shoots every turn. It makes for a fast game that is fun and doesnt take all day. BUT even I prefer TT when I have time and other players.

Been contemplating selling mine.... They aren't worth much these days though. Maybe in 20 years...

The sheer quality of the MW AOD minis turned to absolute **** in their last like 2 packs, Vanguard and Wolf or w/e....yeah. It wasnt uncommon to get mechs that were missing arms, guns, not on the base, bent over as if they were half melted and just kinda put on the base.....oh yeah. Paint jobs were terrible, dials were buggy, stuck, paper peeled off, oh, the quality was utterly atrocious in their last couple releases....

I guess I'm glad that I missed those sets.

They burned me out by releasing sets too quickly.. and our local venue locked his doors, one day, and moved to another city.. with one of our group's collection still in the back room. He never got his stuff back.

After that, I could only play by driving 50+ miles away.. so I gave up. Then, the website went down and I was sad that I didn't get a chance to download the last tournament ruleset.

RIP:MW-DA.

And yet the Wolf Strike units are the ones that still have average value. Mostly because not nearly as many were produced of that set. The Quality control guy was the first one let go apparently.

One of the many many horror stories I have heard from people. Hobbie shops had a rough go of it in the mid 2000's

I got about $100 for my mason dunne two years ago.

There are a number of rules clarifications in the official WizKids clix tournament FAQs that I am responsible for at least. ;)

I really enjoyed this game, it didnt manage to capture the essence of a Mech very well but hey it's just a game. I've kept my tonnes of SCats / Shammers / Mercs and lots of uniques. Best moment was winning the dropship but it was broken.

The organiser was known as a scammer who kept nicking the good stuff (selling them) and giving the rest out as prizes. I was owned half a complete set of AoD but never got it :|

Great game for some fun though.

Dragons fury was OP. Kurita was the best by far. Spirit cats was tough to use, my favs were Stormhammers :)

I really wish MWOnline allowed melee, I used to run games using three melee "Bucket mechs" and while people laughed at me, I trashed them completely, normally 2/3 bucketmechs would survive hitting people with dumpster smacks and dumping dirt on their dead carcasses :D

I to have the drop ship. Got it off ebay a little while back. Figured if one day I was going to make a display I would need it. But like many others my doors have seen better days and need repairs that I have not taken the time to do.

I got it for $75+shipping. I think it was just under $90 total. I had seen them go for a lot more and threw a bid in early and nobody out bid me.
