To be fair to pokemon, jumping in my car with all of my kids and driving around town collecting Pokémon and taking gyms is often much more entertaining than watching the little spinning "connecting" icon in the middle of the screen.

so you're the cool parent we all have been hearing about.

Sure hope not. A switch to Unreal would probably mean the game's death, as it would be more time with no development.

Fortunately, it sounds more like they're considering branching out to other games again.

It sounds more like to me, they are setting the bar too high for that position... A person that will meet those requirements will want a match salary, I don't think PGI has the budget for one person pushing for a 100k-250k/year....

well Scaleform is a i think a cross-platform game UI illustrator,
i want to say AutoDesk makes it, much like 3DS-Max,

we all know MWO is in CRY3,
but Unreal4, thats news,

this could ether be they are starting a new Game,
ya Transverse, which is possible, but keeping it under-wraps this long is unlikely,

changing the Engine is also Possible, though hard to do as well,
many games have gone threw Engine Changes, some even though they were well aged,

ether Way Unreal4 is a Good Sign as it opens a great many doors for PGI when Developing,
also remember Russ Promised a BIG MWO announcement that will happen at MechCon,
i doubt they would announce Transverse to MWO Players at a Mech Convention,
and that they are willing to look into Unreal4, gives me hope for the Future,

My read of that: They're going to try and develop a AAA-level game.

My reaction: ROFL

Additional detail: Once they hire the guy to develop the AAA title, they're gonna tell him he also has to make content for MWO.

My reaction: LMAO

Remember Thursday? Anybody who reads that and thinks it shows the promise of good news and good things for this game is, to put it politely, tragically naive.

would be kinda odd dont you think, MechCon is for walkers and such, you know Mechs,
Transverse was shown as a Space Flight Simulator like Game, not really Mechs but Aircraft,
im not saying it wont happen, but im putting it into the Unlikely Box, ;)

They also made fun of the winners of the cockpit item contest, and constantly do baffling things like try to make Transverse in the first place.

Most of the famous names of game studios started out with one game. They polished and perfected the crap out of that one game, which established a brand name and quality expectation for them. It builds a reputation.

PGI so far has developed only MWO, which arguably has its fair share of unsolved issues. Branching out into a different IP before polishing MWO will set the expectation that they will just keep jumping ship without "finishing" any game.

The fact that several of the top PGI people once led the studio "Jarhead Games" doesn't help their reputation any. Google it...

They shouldn't leave a game woefully unfinished, in the minds of many

I wouldn't be surprised if they added a Hero Atlas that cost $30 that had the eye glow unique to it.
