Has Anyone Else Realized The Clan Hero And Wave 1 Sale....

This also explains why they chose the mechs they did for the recent champions build/vote, since they need champions to go with hero's to make more mastery bundles. That means future champion builds will likely be followed by heroes for the chassis which currently have neither (like Black Knights, Maulers, Wolf Hounds, etc). There's now champions for all the Resistance 1 mechs & Origins IIC mechs. Clans need champions for only the kit fox, ice ferret, nova, hellbringer, summoner, gargoyle, kodiak and executioner (not counting the as yet unreleased huntsman, linebacker and MAD-IIC). IS needs champions for the three I mentioned above as well as the Unseen five and the urbie.
Is that something to look forward to or just more things to complain about ? Discuss...

If they announce those future sales and heroes with "New Announcement soon! Not a mech!" and then say it is in regard to small unanticipated game content, then Yes people will complain. If on the on the other hand, they simply announce: "Sale starts tonight on Resistance wave 1 mechs!" Then have a sale on Resistance wave 1 mechs, then no I don't expect there would be a lot of complaints.

WELL... $10 for a single clan hero is cheaper than a $20 basic pack, but it doesn't come with any premium time and only 1 cockpit item. In terms of the top rewards.. two collector packs is cheaper than six clan heroes.

The discussion goes like this:
You can see, like a proper business plan, that they have years of mech design laid out and set to a very strict schedule.
The mech design team is professional and functions like a business.
The rest is more like something run from some guy's basement.
If what we have now is basically the end of serious development, this game won't make it two years. It might eek along with the hardcore BT set still paying because they want to see realized versions of elements from the game, but the rest of the player base will be too bored to continue.
Elite Dangerous suffers from its own dev issues, and No Man's Sky is DOA.
When a new online game worthy of its hype rolls in, that will be the death knell, or maybe it'll be St. Ives Blues.

Yeah but they are new options and some people don't need more premium time or care about cockpit items. And some people are more willing to spend $10 than $20 even though it isn't a huge difference.

Well, a lot of forumites claim that the BT IP is literally the only reason they're here. The game genre is irrelevant to them so long as it has the BT label on it.
Whether this effect is shown with the release of that other game or not, I dunno.

For example I got in when I heard MWO was annouced on Steam, even though I don't have Steam.

That's fine for forumites...but they only represent a tiny percentage of total players.

I'm gonna be frank, I'm only here for the battletech label. But you know what? I don't want a turn based strategy game. I want to be in the cockpit. So the new BT game will not be tearing me away from MWO. My wallet will remain closed until we get some more light 'mechs though.

Yes, there are going to be some new Hero 'Mechs (new paintjobs of existing 'Mechs, essentially) ... And what are you going to do with those?
You are going to play exactly those same Deathmatches on those same maps as you have done a thousand times before.

It also means there will be a hero Arctic Cheetah, and a Mist Lynx.
Hmm I wonder which one will sell the most
