Declaring energy draw as dead and buried would be a good start.

1) PVE campaigns with rewards that are shared with the MWO account.

Previous MW titles started with the PVE aspect and had PVP as a secondary afterthought. MWO could reverse the trend by integrating PVE campaigns which could act as both training grounds and a source for revenue/resources to fund PVP.

The big issue with something like that is whether it would cause too much damage to the player base. If too many people would rather play single player PVE campaigns then there might be player starvation in the PVP queues that would be bad for the game in the long run.

2) Decent long term play motivators. Factional warfare doesn't provide sufficient rewards to make it worthwhile but requires a larger time commitment to play. Factional warfare is essentially a limited respawn capture the flag game mode on a second set of maps. Design of the game elements to support answering the question "Why do I want to play factional warfare?" has been lackluster to say the least. Mech skill customization and choice is coming ... it will be interesting to see what gets implemented.

3) Competitive MWO will not support the game. It provides some publicity but 99% of the players will never compete at that level and most don't want to ... as a result, over-investing resources into making MWO an esport are going to backfire in terms of player retention and revenue unless resources are spent on aspects of the game relevant to the majority of the playerbase. (Consider the EVE Online annual tournaments ... can be fun to watch if you like the game but it is an add-on for the relatively small portion of the population that is interested ... game development is focused on features that attract and retain a much wider player base ... industry, pve, pvp options and balance ... true sandbox with longer lasting impact of player decisions and actions ... I don't know what, if anything, PGI could do to take MWO in such a direction .. or whether they should even consider it).

4) Some signs that the game will remain in active development. PGI is coming up on license renewal time and they do NOT appear to invest in development until securing the license for at least a few more years (FW wasn't even started into development until after they obtained the last license extension).

I will never be giving PGI another dime even though I said I would if certain things happen. Not anymore. They are one of the worst game developers I have ever played a game. Poorly run with terrible reviews at glassdoor.com.

A light mech addition. With all the loyalty mechs, new Huntsman and everything on order I need a new light. I can only imagine the players with 200+ units. At 70ish and I have good options in every group. Lights that are decent are very limited after the rescale.

Mechs are content in the same way that water is the contents of a pool. You can add more or less but it doesn't fundamentally change the experience of swimming from one end to the other.

What this pool party needs is a serious dose of booze, inflatable toys and scantily clad people. What we keep getting is another bucket of water. And yet the organizers of this party keep wondering why people are grabbing their towels and fleeing like some one let a shark loose.

The first step to getting me back in the water is to put some fun back in the game then maybe I will start paying for admission.

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned already in this thread, but I made the decision today that, outside of 2-3 very specific cases, my wallet will no longer open for anything other than a light mech. I drop in lights 90% of the time and I'm getting tired of having no new toys to play with.

CW that is more than QP maps and IS vs Clans. What happened to all this stuff about drop ships with CW, all the grandiose plans for what was to be the Core of this game? Role warfare etc. Then how about some real content, something more than Mechs that don't outright suck. I'm really not happy with some of my cash purchases in that respect. In the end I consider it my fault, I could have waited to ind out they sucked prior to buying them. Actual game balance. Get rid of high alpha online. Idk the list goes on. There's aspects I really love about this game but overall it just sucks. I left for a while hoping for some changes, now it sucks even more lol. My Unit is dead. We used to have 120 ish active members now most of them wont touch this game anymore. I know that;s an issue for a lot of units. Most of all I'd spend money again if PGI could prove the game isn't going to die soon

PGI realized they were over their heads with those grandiose plans and bailed on the idea. Pretty much as they have done on this game entirely.

Wanna buy a mech pack?

Oh yeah... one thing that would open my wallet again, short term?

Unlocking the frikking endo on Omnis. Tired of this massive disparity between the haves and have nots, the lack of diverse viable builds and Quirk Bandaids.

That's a fine idea. I wouldn't give them more money for it though. I want a more robust balance between clammer mechs as much as the next guy, but in the end thats not really content, or core mechanics of gameplay type fixes. Thats just more weapon/chassis balance, and Russ and crew have been using that as a diversion for years now instead of actual content. This community has been fine allowing spreadheet warriors to represent them for the most part for several years now, up to ohhh, I would say maybe the last 6 months. A big chunk of old timers leaving are just tired of hearing about spreadsheets.

Again, not to say I don't want that too or anything, would love me some better Summoner loadouts, but it's just not big enough for me anymore. This game needs a pretty big shake-up in core play or something BIG content wise(like PVE) for me to hand anymore cash to them.

Posters of Natasha Keresnky and Lori Kalmar for the Cockpit might do it. Or maybe Pilot Models of the same ladies - what happened to the female model anyway.

I bought both their Mechs.

Yeah I am sad - but have plenty of cash Posted Image

On a more serious note be cool if they somehow tied into the new Battletech computer game with maps, mechs and pilots to link in
