largely agree, but I kind of see where he's coming from too. If there's more like him and I who simply are not logging in, then we don't impact the buckets, anyhow. But if a dedicated Stock Bucket would bring a group of people back, I'm not sure there's enough of a pool left to worry about diluting.

I freely admit, if I could jump into a dedicated QP Stock Mech MM, Level 1 Tech, no Quirks, I'd fire up my client again, right now.

The problem is....are there actually enough players who feel likewise to support it? That I cannot honestly say, but I do see where he is coming from.

The Current Stock mode is a good example of too little, too late, what with need private matches, premium time, set crap up in advance, etc....

For a lot of people, it's still either too much hassle or not realistic with their day to day life. I for one need legit QP.

I want an option to either use MC to buy weapons and engines. or convert MC to c-bills. Just me personally i would open my wallet and pay money for xl motors and weapons for my current mechs.

pretty sure you can buy cbills for MC already..... for like years even.

in fact I think there is a list running around somewhere of which hero mechs can be bought for MC and sold for cbills for better rates than you can actually buy the cbills for directly. I think the X5 was the best bang for the buck.

The only money that I ever spent on MW:O was the marauder pack to show support of the release of unseens again. Even though I wasn't a big fan of the IS marauder, I did preorder it because I wanted to see future unseens make an appearance. I'm still not disappointed since the classic IIC's are finally making it into the game (even though they are being added by re-visioned reseens which is ok for me, I would like a classic skin option as well. Perhaps as a bonus for preordering it instead of 'classic' color scheme like the marauder victor musical industry variant).

My wallet is remaining closed when PGI stops the lazy bs excuses when it comes to their definition of 'content' in the game. I'm still eager to see what they do with the Warhammer IIC/Rifleman IIC chassis before I can think about giving money to them. I don't call clan 'hero variations' real content that should have been added initially with the original releases of the clan mechs. I just feel that they are pulling the lazy card harder than ever.

It's also the lack of content and the nearsightedness of Russ's vision for the game. Why should I buy a Rifleman IIC if they are just going to nerf the hell out of it? Why should I consider getting a Mad Cat MK.2 if the only thing they are going to do is make it a giant CT down the road?

I'll stick to MW:LL since the devs made more 'content' for free than Russ could ever dream of in 90 days™.

Not that I disagree with any of these Faction Play adjustments. I don't usually play it anymore. Queues are too long and games unsatisfying.

I just really want to make an atlas with the Battletech equivalent of a GAU-8.

Nothing, my wallet is staying closed. After repeatedly getting disconnected then penalized after coming back (not my fault you game is unstable), after having to wait longer while "connecting" now after every match (but hey, I can save my mech faster now in the mech lab, which I do 10 times less often than come back after a match), and after all the other dumb moves done in the name of "balance", I've noticed I'm finally getting bored with PGI. Sometimes it seems like PGI's leadership is using ego, arrogance, and a dart board to develop this game instead of brains and common sense. I'm just burning up my old stored premium time (earned from a time before I got tired of getting burned by bait-and-switch), then I think I'm done with PGI. And with the "Heat Nerf 2.0" bomb coming... Posted Image

For me, its a lack of meat. I dont want mechs anymore, there are so many that the game can survive the next 6 months without new ones. Its mechanics. i do plan on making a lengthy post, but ill just skim the details.

The combat in MWO hasnt been changed, or added upon since the games inception. there NEEDS to be more combat mechanics.

Some examples: stop buffing weapons and start giving them secondary effects. In MW4, getting hit by a PPC ****** up your HUD for a bit. adding that to MWO would make PPCs superb suppression weapons, designed to keep an enemy hiding, rather than doing just damage. Keep the ECM disabling effect.

When getting hit by an autocannon, have it generate impact recoil. The smaller you are, the more recoil you recieve, jarring your aim.

these are just 2 examples that would completely change the way games are played.

Is it lack of "content", broken balance, what is it? And what is your proposed fix?

Maybe some Dev will read this, maybe not. But actually seeing in a semi organized manner the feelings and thoughts of so many former whales might have some benefit.

Mind you, this is not a "Bash PGI" thread, so rampant Black and White Knighting will get reported, one and the same.

For me? There are a few things, but I think the biggest currently? ADMIT Faction Warfare is a failed venture, like Transverse, and stop pouring time and resources into it. PGI has demonstrated time and again, that either they don't understand what the community wanted out of an immersive Faction Warfare, or are simply unable ot unwilling to invest the resources needed to actualyl deliver it.

That being the case, I'd rather see it taken off life support entirely, and have the time and resources focused on improving the QP mode so that it at least might see some actual growth.

That's my thoughts. Not asking for you to agree or disagree with them. THAT IS NOT THE QUESTION. The question is, what, if anything, can PGI REALISTICALLY do to earn your business back?


i know some will disagrea, but IMO

- i like that somme broke stuff would be fixed, like GH, its so easy to work around that it vexes me i much rader have no system then that one. i do like the principal behind ED, mind you not all changes made during the different PTS sesions made me happy, but atleast i like the principal..

- i would love for some weak weapons to get buffed;

=> MG's, the best suited chassy's for them (lights with 4 ballistic hard points) all get +20% rate of fire quirks... and they still are horible... just buff there damage to 0.1 ... and if nessecery nerf the quirks for them (i doubt that will be the case)

=> SRM2's, they are crap if u compare them with SPL... they need to atleast do more damage/heat then a spl.. again the only reason why a mech would take them is cause it douse not have other hardpoints...

=> AC2's .... to hot for a weapon that needs such a tonnage investment (drop it to 0.6 heat), raze there ammo/t to 200 damage, and ad there frking CD module, why is it still not in the game, on top of this the UAC2's lose DPS on double taps... thats just not acceptable...

=> LRM's all launchers need the same spread... the spread of a LRM10

if all these tings would be implemented i would like it a load, play more, and as a result spend more...

besides from all that, if they would sell a LCT-IIC, i would buy it with reinforsments and hero, the second it became available and temporarely become blind to the other problems :P

(And before anyone cries or berates me for "Excluding" people that cannot play at the exact time as during one of the actual battle windows; look at the population and tell me how many battles are going on.)

Get somewhere reasonably close to this, and my wallet will fly open. (Especially since I just got a career job that pays well.)

Pretty much for these reasons. I doubt we're going to see a vast improvement in this game with Russ at the helm, maybe if he hands over control to someone else who gives a dam, as well as listen to the community, but its doubtful.

I couldn't respect myself if I gave another dime to PGI. I know I said if they got CW to a good place I would but that ain't happening ever and in the slim chance they did I still won't give them any money.

My discretionary income they would have had access to have gone to other games.

I'd like to see PvE missions that are randomly generated that, if a team does well enough, can affect the outcome of a FP planet contest.

I'd like to see the price of colors cut in half. I am perfectly willing to spend for cosmetic features, and have done so, but 500 MC seems a little steep.

Develop campaign that is only available to Premium players. It doesn't have any specific rewards, but it gives you decent experience and C-Bills for your play time.

I'd spend WAY more if FP didn't seem so. . .rigid. I don't even know how to properly express my viewpoint on this one.
