Who do I need to contact to report a potential exploit / a weakness that exists with the current patch version?

Or they could just start a Bug Report here, provided they don't have to get severely into code-level detail.

Better to report potential exploits directly via e-mail and keeping them off the forums. Wouldn't want all the kids to start using them just because they read how to here.

Actually that's often a great way to get a bug fixed, get more of the community using or at least knowing how to use an exploit, which will force the devs hand. I've seen it work on other games.
That said, I avoid exploits and report blatant users :D

Plus, it also shows others what to look for, in order to report people exploiting something. ;)

That's one way to look at it.
On the other hand, spreading how an exploit works decreases the general "quality" of gameplay and makes more people suffer from the abusers in the short run.

Hard to say which approach is better, long term.
