Getting ridiculous damage on the legs of my Arctic Cheetah from jump. There are instance of some walls that boost your jump height suddenly and no matter how you land you will get serious leg damage. My last incident gives me 6% total leg damage even though I am still burning jet while touch down to a soft landing. This one jump just about crippled my mech and gg for that round.Anyone else having such experience?

Yeah, you're not the only one almost getting murdered by the battlefield. Having problems with several of my own JumpJet-enabled mechs, including Arc. Cheetah and ShadowCat Mechs. I had already started threads in Map-specific subforums, having thought these incidents were isolated. But, it would seem that they're more widespread than I could have thought. :(

I get this issue frequently when the mech's feet clip the edge of a building/terrain/other just right. It somehow shoots the mech upward and even if you have jump jets to burn softening the landing doesn't seem to help. It is kind of SNAFU for me these days. I just understand that one in I don't know how many jumps is going to result in "Super Jump" feature and I will be getting some leg damage.

On a side note have you noticed all the little fences and stuff on Mining Collective trip the mech up when running. C4,C3 areas. Is this working a intended "rough terrain" simulation? Essentially this is analogous to running on a street and getting tripped by a curb in plain site. I am no Parkour runner, but a curb doesn't slow me down at all and it seems it should not slow down my mech.

Yep. I think it's kinda dumb that a 4-5 foot fall is enough to cause damage to a battlemech in the first place and it honestly seems kind of random what drops even hurt you.

That happens with mechs with no jumpjets either. I was hugging a building on the port side of river city one time and my Centurion with full leg armor started spazzing out on a fence before shooting backwards with its leg almost stripped of armor.

That's a feature.
Your issue?
it's a bug. Kinda like this, right?

It isn't random, all you need to be doing is going X speed at the time of impact. Note: The falls accelerate at nearly 3 times the rate of real gravity.

Regardless of the stated gravity of the environment.

I had an instant a few days ago in which my cheetah did a"super jump" going up the wall in HPG, I got stuck on the way down (about a mech's height) and my speed read out up to and over 600KPH before letting me "go" and slamming me into the ground hard enough to remove all amour from both legs.

I only wish i'd been running in steam client so I coulda captured that "wtf moment" lol
