Some sort of collision issue where a Spider rams the Shadow Cat face on and pops out the back for a few seconds from the point of view of the Shadow Cat. It wasn't lag because it happened every time. Not often a Spider decides to ram another mech head-on so never had that happen before.

Where have you been? The phase through clipping error has been around for years now apparently.

You get behind some juicy target, begin taking out his back armor, he backs up and next thing you know he is now behind you, shooting you in the back. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens.
....or an enemy mech turns the corner and literally runs right into your team at full throttle. After a short period of rubber banding, he runs right through and is now behind you.
These kinds of examples have existed in the game since beta. It's been part of the game for so long, I just take it as is and expect it.

Its a fault to the collision system. If they didn't have phase-thru for mech collisions, every time someone cut you off in traffic, or you hit the wrong map terrain, you'd risk losing limbs. Oh and charges and DFA's would also work. A locust could actually charge an atlas and do some serious damage. Of course that can work against you also in the locust... you're circling a mech at 160 and he unlocks his arm to swing it out into your torso....
