[Meat Cutter]

One of my favorite Mech's, and god I'd love to drive that thing again!

Any news/ ideas would be good to hear...

The Mad Cat II was fielded by Clan Diamond Shark in 3066. Right now it is 3049...your in for a very long wait.

Wasn't the MadCat 2 just a lousy knockoff (it wasn't even an Omni) that Diamond Shark built, the clans wanted nothing to do with it, so they sold it (at inflated prices) to the InnerSphere Houses because Holy Crapola CLAN TECH! ?

Or is that the Mad Cat 3? I get my Timberwolf Knock-Offs confused (Rakasha is the best one anyways)

We can have that now as there are prototype models before 3049. But they suffer from heat issues due to the unconventional layout and inefficient shielding of the reactor. So the developers could offer a Prototype version, but a final version will not be around for a few years till after the capture of a Vulture Omnimech.

Yeah but doesn't the vulture come like right at the clan invasion, so we could see it within a year x3

Mad Cat 2 was 90T copy sold to IS, Mad Cat 3 was 55T, both by Clan Diamond Shark.

As said by other posters, at least 3066 years for Mad Cat 2, minimum 3052 for Timber Wolf (Mad Cat 1) (after battle of tukayyid).

No, the Vulture is known as the Mad Dog, and -is- a Clan mech. It has been 'out' for many decades now, but only in the Clans. When they invade, the only way you will see one is through your targeting HUD, aiming it's weapons at your cockpit.

The Mad Cat MK.II was sold to Clan Nova Cat, Clan Ice Hellion, Clan Wolf-in-Exile, House Kurita, House Steiner and House Davion. It should also be noted that Clan Wolf (not Clan Wolf-in-Exile) and Clan Jade Falcon used them, however they obtained the ones they used through Trials.

The Mad Cat III (55 ton medium) was made to be sold to anyone and every one, however a vast majority of the Clans refused to use them except for Clan Nova Cat and Clan Wolf-in-Exile.

Just to be on the ball about future variants:

The Mad Cat MK.IV also know as "Savage Wolf" was a post Jihad/Dark Age remake of the Timber Wolf Delta configuration, with a few minor tweaks. Those being it seems to have lacked lower arm actuators in order to allow the arm mounted Clan ER PPCs to flip backwards, in addition to this it adds on a Small Laser (Why?) and the Streak SRM-6 racks can pitch up and down independent from the torso for a greater field of fire.

Yes, the clans field the Vulture in the invasion.  But it is a little until one is captured and dissembled.  Once that happens the findings concerning its core shielding help to jump start further development of the Bushwacker.
