As said by other posters, at least 3066 years for Mad Cat 2, minimum 3052 for Timber Wolf (Mad Cat 1) (after battle of tukayyid).

I think the Mad Cat was among the first clan mechs encountered by IS troops, that's why it was called the Mad Cat. Targeting computers couldn't decide, if it was a Marauder or a Catapult, as it resembles a crossbreed of the two. That would place the Mad Cat well within spring of 3050.

Of course, im talking about the Mad Cat 1. The only Mad Cat i like.

Hey uh... According to sarna, the clan invasion began in August 3049. That's... suspiciously close to (i.e. on top of) the founder closed beta release date... but as I understand it, the invasions weren't actually evident to the IS until a fair bit later, right?
Just saying~

This has been discussed ad-nauseum. They invaded the deep periphery in August 3049. No one in the Inner Sphere had any clue about anything going on until Phaelan Kell's disappearance in 3050. Even then no one really cared any more than a "hey, that guy was good, that's too bad" sort of way. They didn't even reach the edges of the Inner Sphere until late 3050.

Are Imperator titans and Guild Heighliners going to be included at release? What about Skaal Fa class missile destroyers? I haven't seen them mentioned yet and I'm a bit worried ;)

I want to know where my Apoc is!

I always considered the Mk2 as a weak mech for its tonnage. Low speed and maneuverability in MW4 made it primarily a poptart rather than a useful chassis.

MW4 should not be used as any sort of basis for judging a chassis outside of judging it for use in MW4*. In the TT it is a pretty solid 'mech. Two Gauss Rifles, 2 LRM-10, and 4 ER Medium Lasers on a jump capable 90 ton 'mech is nothing to sneeze at.

For those of us who like the later tech stuff from the Jihad/Dark Age the Mad Cat Mk. II 'Enhanced' variant is down right scary.

*this is just my opinion. ;)

I didn't mean it as when you see it but when you might be able to play it (assuming we can't be clanners) since I think the OP wanted to know if they could pilot one.

Lol in 2028 we'll get the Mad Cat II... I've just read the 3085 Technical Readout.... 36 years to go :-/

And by that I mean I'm a big fan of 3085 designs not that the Madcat 2 came out in 3085... Before I get flamed

For any "when does this mech appears" question, go to Battletech's Master Unit List

http://www.masterunitlist.info/

No Mad Cats II until 3066...

Regards!
