It was also thoroughly enjoyable to sneak in a writing perspective challenge. Normally most fiction writers create their own world within their story. How would one handle being forced to add an element they couldn't entirely manipulate?
Yes that was nice because it also introduced an element of mystery: the character does not know everything about the Hero. I would have loved to write a story about Legend Killer (did Gray Noton have SL-tech or not?), but that idea came to late to me and I already had an entry in that category. Perhaps next time.
Anyway I liked the concept so much that I chose a canon setting in which even the events are largely outside of my control since their canon story is written already. It was fun.

And our winners are:
Category 1: TygerLily

Please send me a PM with your choice of hero for prize!
And for everyone else, don't worry, I'm already working on an idea for the next contest!

I am curious, too.
I picked the Legend Killer, because of its lore. People seem to be dissapointed by its in-game performance but I can't wait to role-play Gray Noton (knowing, of course, that I am nowhere near as good).

Congrats to the winners. If I see your heroes in battle I'll try to enjoy them too.
I also wrote a super serious prequel about Jin Mehtas other hobby. Now is as good a time and place as any to offload it. enjoy.
Thanks for the comp.
