It needs some buffs because it's a pretty big sized light and
I always seem to lose my ST's really fast even when torso twisting.
Heck even the locust has structure and it's super zippy, small and hard to hit as it is.
At one point it was the top dog go to light but now the ACH and locust has that spot.
With powercreep in play it's becoming harder to even run that light anymore.
+5 structure to whole body or something would be enough, just give it something please.
Please.

Might as well stretch every mech like the old school medieval torture thing.

It's called a Rack, FYI. If I wasn't lazy, I'd edit in one of the light mechs into his spot, and put PGI's logo on the 3 minor guys, with Paul and Russ' faces on the 2 middle people. But, as I said, lazy.

Agreed.
Every other mech could afford the rescale since structure buffs were already present on those mechs but the firestarter had no structure buffs(none that I remember) and now it's pretty much size of a small medium.
Most other lights can afford to take that extra bit of ST damage once armor is gone because of buffs, but once Firestarter's ST armor is gone it's a death sentence.

Well even before that, the Oxide buffs and the addition of the Jenner IIC ended any future the Firestarter had.

MY CAPS INDICATE MY INDIFFERENCE
Why must you do this to such small robots, PGI?
Add to their size, reduce their agility, and also reduce their quirks?
Without even Pity quirks in return?

You know, it's like those days where people liked to "supersize" their food @ dem fast food restaurants.
The problem is that they need Weight Watchers.

Saying lights in general suck or I.S. can't match clan tech is irrelevant. I named its direct competitors.

So instead of having this natural balancing mechanism of size, PGI now has to bandaid-quirk these mechs (and they're taking their sweet time of it). So why rescale them in the first place when they didn't need it? Jeez. They're never going to go back on this, so we're screwed. Especially the Panther and Wolfhound fans. The Firestarter is basically useless now, because the ACH does everything it can do... but better.
