Why Nerf The Marauders?

Were people complaining that the Marauders were too agile? The 3R has no JJ and the BH2 has a 300 engine cap.
Ugh, I'm tired of spending real money on packages or Hero mechs just to watch them get nerfed away bit by bit. I'm still sore about the Ilya and Dragon Slayer and now they're bringing down the BH2?
Keep killing this game for me, PGI. My unit just switched to Clan and I was really considering pulling the trigger on Kodiaks, but fuq that noise. Why should I give them money when they just keep pulling this nonsense? They should give me a damn refund on my other "Heroes."

Another great decision brought to you by Pgi. . .

It's a misguided approach, given that most 'Mechs in the game were untouched, but there it is. All this does is push us back toward the Timberwolf, not that the Timberwolf ever fell out of favor.

I hear cash is a pretty good nerf-repellent. Not totally effective, and it does get less effective over time.

However, the BH2 deserved it. That one is buffed massively already due to the more than liberal engine cap. (not that I am totally against that, but it is worth remembering and makes the nerf in mobility reasonable).

so not insta-crippling it like the CTF-4X with a terribad engine cap and DWF like speed is a "massive" buff, now?
Good to know. Would love to see how popular it would be and how many would have sold if I hadn't gotten Russ to massively overbuff it.

To which Russ replied: "...sure."

So let's also nerf the Panther and Urbanmech, shall we?
And bring the 50 tonners back to 260 caps.
Can't have those MASSIVE engine buffs.

You have a point.
A good point.

No, since I do not advocate nerfing the engine cap. At all.
I merely said the reduced mobility quirks on a Mech with extra liberal engine cap - which, again, is ok - does not cause the sky to fall down.

A 75 ton 'Mech having decent firepower while being stuck at the same maximum speed as a Kodiak getting some agility boosts to help it not get reamed by faster heavies which often sport similar or better firepower was OP enough to you that this change is okay?
Are you high?
None of the MAD variants are top-tier, and the ones that came even remotely close are not the Bounty Hunter 2.

I could think of someone, but that would require self-incrimination.
Obviously it's the person that can tickle our Balance Overlord's fancy.
